DELUXE MATERIALS Cover-Grip, 150 ml, DLMAD22

Ordered two bottles of the Cover Grip, one from Winkie’s Hobby’s and the other from Hobby Etc, a week later. I got the second order from Hobby Etc on Monday and the other which I ordered on Nov 24th won’t get here till Sat Dec 9th. I don’t know why Winkies can’t seem to ship in less than ten days, but that is unacceptably slow in this day and age. Thank you Hobby Etc for shipping fast and not taking your sweet time. Had I waited for the first order to arrive my project would not have been completed on time. As for the material itself, it absolutely kicks a** and if you are having trouble with getting your covering material to stick where there was perhaps some fuel soaked into the model, this is the stuff for you. Made in the UK so it is rather difficult to find locally. Haven’t found a domestic product that even comes close.

Easy to use and really works well

I used this in areas of the balsa wood that had been saturated with ca glue, especially at joints. I got a good stick from the monokote covering where I needed it it.

I have been covering a scratch build balsa RC plane with litespan synthetic tissue for park flyers, first I brushed onto the framework, that works, then I tried sponging on to the covering material, that works and is much faster and easier. I recommend this product for you scratch builders out there.

The material has worked great so far, but I have not been able to see how it holds up to glow fuel yet.

This stuff is fantastic for making covering stick to fuel soaked Balsawood. I am rebuilding a P 51 of my fathers and in removing all the covering I noticed that the entire front end was for your salt. I tried nine different methods of removing the fuel from the wood and nothing worked. I was about to throw it in the garbage when I saw this stuff. I paint it on the wood let it dry and then the mono coat sticks to it like a fly sticks to the wall.
