Zesty Paws Calming Chews for Dogs - for Everyday Stress, Relaxation, Composure, and Separation Peanut Butter 50 Count

Our dog never had problems with loud noises until a year ago on the 4th of July. Our neighbors were firing off a lot of rockets and it scared our dog a great amount. After that, our pup didn't want to go outside as much, was scared of sirens, and loud noises on the television would have her running for cover. We spoke with our vet and she wanted to put our dog on prescription meds. No thanks. We decided to try some various calming treats. We're glad we did. Zesty Paws treats were the best of all the brands we tried. Our dog weighs about 45 pounds, so the recommended dosage is 2 treats. They work! After about 20 minutes our dog calms down and handles noises so much better. If we are around loud noises while camping, and our pup is suffering, we will go to 3 treats and that really calms her down. The 4th of July weekend just passed and we worried again about how she would do. The first night, we gave her 3 treats and she was just fine. The next night we gave her two treats and she again handled the noise just fine. I did some research into the ingredients in the product and found that all of them appear to be just fine for dogs. You should check with your own vet to make sure it's okay for your dog because not every pup is wired the same. For us, these Calming Treats have been a godsend and we couldn't be happier!

They do work - for small dogs.I have an 11 pound chihuahua/jack Russell mix, the chews came today and I wanted to see if they really worked so I gave my dog one (says 1 chew up to 25 pounds) and I feel like I should have halved that chew. My dog went to bed about 2-3 minutes after he took it and hasn't moved since and if he does move he can only roll over, but he is calm. Thunder didnt scare him, didn't bark when someone walked through the door, didnt care that we were eating. Real test will be when hes here alone, as he has bad separation anxiety and whines when hes alone.

It worked for my pup during the 4th of July weekend. He didn't have an issue with the noise.

I have 2 dogs that are terrified of fireworks. I was skeptical at first but I thought I would give this product a shot. I am so glad that I did. It worked wonders on our elderly dachshund. One chew and he went right to sleep; he slept through all the loud fireworks. I can’t tell you the relief I felt knowing that my poor doggie was finally not terrified and hiding behind the toilet. He would get so scared he would throw up.I gave 3 chews to our golden retriever… although he didn’t fall asleep, he was definitely not as stressed out. It took the edge off his anxiety and he was more manageable than he usually is.I am a satisfied customer and I would recommend 100%.

This is my third or fourth brand of calming chews to try. I have yet to find a brand that doesn't cause loose stools/diarrhea and stomach upset. This brand is no exception. It is ridiculous that the products can't be returned. It's an expensive experiment. I would save your money and stick with giving an occasional benadryl to help calm your doggo.

We've got a variety of rescue dogs, all variations of mutt and mixed breed, and these helped all of the noise-fearing ones get through recent thunderstorms.Our 80 lb girl gets 3, but the 45 lb range ones seem to respond well to even just one.Our oldest, a 15 year old girl with some trauma from before us, even came and asked for some when she heard thunder before we did. Usually she refuses all food and water when she's scared, so her making the connection that these helped her the last time was a pretty big deal for us. (She always starts shaking when she hears it, so it was pretty clear to us what was happening.)

These take the edge off.My dog has quite a bit of anxiety when it comes to car rides, she pants pretty hard, cowers, and stands the entire time. Does not matter how long or short the trip is.I forgot to give her zesty paws in the morning before our trip, she was panting hard and freaking out. We stopped for gas, I was able to find the calming chews and gave her some.Within 15 minutes, the panting wasn’t as bad, she was laying down, and a lot calmer.It’s not going to put your dog to sleep, it will just keep them calm. She has a sensitive stomach, this didn’t cause any issues either.

I bought these calming shoes for my dogs. I have a two year-old Shih Tzu Maltese mix who is two years old. I have another seven-year-old schnauzer super mutt. My schnauzer mix gets a little anxious sometimes and after a few days of using these shoes, I see an immediate difference. Even after they consume the shoes, they are calm and resting and just super chill. This was a good purchase for me. I highly recommend.
