Better quality than a toy but still great for kids
My son bought these with birthday money and it was a great purchase. My boys clip them on their jackets and ride their four wheelers through the woods and fields. They use these to communicate and they work great. We have found them to be clear at about 100 yards. The ear pieces are a little big for my five and nine year old but fit great for an adult. The flashlight on the end is an added bonus. These are better quality than a kid’s toy but easy for a kid to use. Especially at the price point, these are a great quality.

Great quality at a fanominal price!
At $11 ea, this is a GREAT BUY. Only used at short range but performed flawlessly. Used to communicate between start and finish line. Good quality.

Great value
These walkie talkies are great for the value. They work like any regular walkie. The range is pretty good. I use it with a fishing buddy and the range works great. Are they plastic.... uh yeah... should they be for the price? Fo sho. Are they the world's best? No and for this price I am shocked they work as well as they do.So if you want pretty good cheap walkie these should fill your needs really well.

Good walkie talkie but not a good scanner for railroads
I was trying to be able to use it when I was out watching trains. I bought a upgraded antenna and I got the programming cable. Everything works fine except for when I go to enter the railroad frequency in the program I get a error message saying that it is out of the range but yet it is only on the 160 frequency range. It works fine at my train club with the same channel as the other ones but I was hoping to be able to use it for both at the club and when out track side

Love them.
I bought these as a gift for my daughter as she wakes up thinking she hears monsters at night. She calls me on the handset and I walk around the house checking things out so she can rest easy. Fun outside for hide and seek games, or between several vehicles when family goes on road trips. Decent range. They are very easy to use, have good battery life, and great build quality. Compact size is a plus, and sound quality is okay, especially for the price point.

Great budget radios
I bought 2 pairs of these for guys at work. They work great on the jobsite and the battery lasts all 10 hours.My only complaint is that one of the sets came with charging docks and the others only came with type c charging cords. Very strange and bad quality control (typical of beofeng)

These are good ONLY when you're talking with another exactly the same
This particular unit has a 'scrambler' in it... so it's great for using between exact units like these. But you will be unable to communicate with other units that do NOT have the scrambler.
