I am a beginner but read a lot of reviews on tattoo machines to make sure I went with a sensible choice for myself. I like this one. It comes with lots of little extras to get you started and the machine itself is pretty easy to set up and operate. I like how the timer is set so you can see your actual tattoo time. This was a great buy and I will definitely recommend this to fellow artists.

My tattoo guy had this machine and I've been wanting to learn how to tattoo so I bought one.. Not dissapointed. I had a hard time setting up coil machines and was overwhelmed.. These new pen style guns remove all of that and just do what they do.. The picture is after a few hours of practicing pulling lines and checking out different cartridges to see how they work. After figuring out depth and voltage/handspeed things starting feelin good. Will try on myself in month maybe after I get more practice in.. Def recommend this kit for beginners.. For those who do this kind of work my tat guy pumps out nice work with this exact machine.. may buy a second to have different cartridge ready for packing vs lining.. Dont sleep on it. A1

I just started to learn tattooing 2 weeks ago. I purchased the traditional coil machines first but within a couple days I purchased this machine because the set up and tear down time seemed so much faster. Since I am only tattooing fake skin, I don't have to worry about biological fluids and therefore use the needles until they are dull. The time it takes to set up the traditional machines and clean the needles at the end takes a really long time when compared to this machine. This machine is also so much quieter and easier to adjust the needle depth. My lines and shading techniques increased significantly with this K.O.D. I am loving it. I don't really need a 2nd battery as I don't do marathon sessions but I do wish that the single battery kit came with the RCA adapter so I could use my foot pedal or that they at least sold the adapter independently because now, if I want to get the RCA cable and adapter I must purchase the other kit for that 1 item. So I'm knocking off 1 star for that reason. Over all I am pleased with this purchase and It is well built so I highly recommend this machine to anyone wanting good quality but doesn't want to spend several hundred dollars.

I swear to sweet baby Jesus this thing is goin to change the game for me. I’m still a baby tattoo artist but I can tell this thing is gunna make things as smooth as butter. Worth the money. Minimum vibration and not as heavy as anticipated. GAME CHANGER!! The freedom that comes with it is priceless. I practice on myself so this is gunna be fun. Just do it.
