I’m giving this product 5 stars because these beads are practically as true to their pictures and product description as is humanly possible, and the color/quality/consistency of these plastic beads is surprising (as someone who only works with glass beads).That being said, IF you are going for the look of glass crystal bicone beads, do not buy these.I accidentally purchased these instead of glass bicone beads, and the difference is immediately obvious. These beads do not look cheap at all for what they are, but they are still very clearly plastic and do not mimic the look/shine of actual glass. I’m returning them for that reason, but I think that this product is excellent for what it is. Entirely my own fault for not reading the full product name/description, because it is very clearly listed as acrylic and is true to its listing. If you like the product pictures and want plastic beads, I think you’ll be very happy with these.

Nice colors

I love the assortment of colors. I can do so much with it.

If you are making your first—perhaps only—set of friendship bracelets this is an excellent choice. A broad variety of colors, none of which are muddy; and cleanly cut, few rough edges. They give a more finished look than pony beads although are not as easy to string if you have younger artists. There are tons of beads here; much of what you see advertised are deceptively pictured but have relatively few beads. Not here!They are all transparent except the solid black. This is exactly as they are described but those with far ranging creativity might want to look for some solid beads as well. This will be more than enough for most groups.If you are using the heavy stringing thread that comes with most intro kits the knots will be harder to hide than with pony beads. The bracelets fit just fine but won't look perfectly round when they are off. If this is important to you buy some thinner .5 mm string. The .5 mm is what you will need to work with the smaller seed beads, if you are thinking about grabbing some of those as well.

Overall this item is pretty nice. It's true to the packaging however if you render it again at a later date a few colors may be different because of different dye batches. However, like most acrylic beads, they smell AWFUL. Absolutely terrible so I recommend airing them out after you get them. There are also quite a few damaged beads that aren't usable or random colorful acrylic pieces but it's only like 5% of the overall set. Also, there are the occasional beads that have sharp edges that can de dangerous, I have personally sliced my fingers on them before. Aside from that the color quality and variety is very nice and there is a ton of each bead color.

Brought these several times. These are some very beautiful beads. They are a little smaller than I expected but they still work!
