Comfortable alternative to stock pads
The silk fabric versions feel very comfortable and help the headset sit better on my head vs the stock. I hadn't realised until putting these on that the stock pads were also heating me up a significant bit, so the cooling gel is a very welcome addition.Great bit of kit, and very easy to replace due to the headsets turn and detach mechanism. Would recommend.

Very slightly more comfortable than the stock pads.
These fit the audeze maxwell perfectly and it was very easy to swap out the stock pads. These are indeed slightly thicker and with slightly more dense foam than the original, and this alters the fit of the headphones a little, I had to lengthen the headband by one hole. I find my ears touched the inside of the cups with the stock pads but these defean ones prevent that, the face material is nice, its a soft synthetic lycra like fabric and very comfortable. The PU 'leather' material around the outside also feels high quality. Upon initial wearing the cushions do indeed feel slightly cooler than the stock items and are slightly more pleasant in warm weather its a short lived difference though. Are they worth the money for the slight overall improvement, no not really, but if your pads are feeling a little tired they are a nice replacement and small upgrade.

An alternative option of Wicked Cushion
I originally purchased the Wicked Cushions, but I found that the surface was too rough and the material too hard, causing my face to feel tight and uncomfortable due to excessive pressure.As an alternative, I tried these cushions, which are significantly softer and apply less pressure. Now, I can comfortably wear my Maxwell headphones for extended gaming sessions.While I still believe the Wicked Cushions are of higher quality, comfort is always a priority, especially for long-term gaming so give this a try if WC pad is not suitable for you.

They are cool
But just when you put them on. After a few minutes, all that cool gel is not so cool anymore.Not even sure if I needed these things after all.
