The kookaburra is relaxing on a branch and then framed with a classic circle pendant. The pendant is attached to the chain with a wire wrapped link, displaying three large mookaite rondelle beads. Mookaite is the Australian variety of jasper, occurring in lots of earthy shades. The pendant measures just under 3 inches (7cm) in length and is attached to a 20" (50cm) long solid stainless steel cable chain. A small wire wrapped chrysoprase bead is attached next to the clasp. Kookaburras, a native Australian bird species, are part of the terrestrial tree kingfisher family and are famous for their territorial call which sounds to us like laughing.
