My wife lives this deak
She has had this desk for most a year and it is beautiful and sturdy. When her other desk (not this one) broke she asked for another one of these to replace that broken desk! So now she has two and she loves it!

Whew! Stick Figure Instructions
The media could not be loaded. While the desk is lovely once put together, the assemble process was an absolute nightmare. The holes in the base weren’t quite right, so it took a lot elbow grease to get the bolts in. The wood itself does not come predrilled, which is annoying, but it was soft so not too bad. The problem is ensuring that you have everything lined up perfectly and, with these toddler drawn instructions, that proved difficult. Make sure to read the other reviews as that is what helped me get this put together.

No pre drilled pilot holes on the desktop. Moderately difficult and time consuming assembly
This Martha Stewart Noah Parsons desk has a gray engineered wood top, with an oil rubbed bronze metal frame. The heaviness and the thickness of the engineered wood desktop was the first thing that struck me, it’s much more substantial than the average particle board desktop. The engineered gray wood has grain and texture, so to the naked eye, it actually looks like a solid piece of real wood. The square metal frame is powder coated, with a matte black finish, that has a subtle gray undertone. The frame feels fairly lightweight, but sturdy, it has adjustable floor glides, and there isn’t any wobble. This desk appears to be fairly well made, the overall quality is excellent, certainly well above average. It has a modern, streamlined look, I really like the clean lines and the simple style. The thick gray desktop is definitely my favorite feature.Assembly was moderately difficult and quite time consuming, not quick and easy, as the listing states. It took just shy of two hours for me to assemble this desk alone. It shouldn’t have taken anywhere near that much time, but shockingly, no pilot holes were pre drilled in to the desktop! The metal frame has to be aligned to the desktop, and then held still in alignment, while being screwed in to a thick desktop, without the guidance of any pilot holes. It’s a bit more difficult than it might sound, as the metal frame shifts and slides around, while you’re trying to penetrate the desktop. Keeping the frame accurately aligned, while attempting to penetrate the thick desktop, without any pilot holes, is somewhat difficult. The instructions contain only diagram illustrations, without written word instructions for each step, so they weren’t very helpful.Had I known that assembly was as difficult and time consuming as it is, I probably would have explored other options. Unless you’re comfortable with a moderately difficult assembly, or you will have the assistance of someone else that is, then this desk may not be the best option. It’s a very nice looking desk, but I’m not sure that it would be worth paying someone else to assemble it, especially when the cost of assembly would probably approach the total cost of the desk. This desk may not be ideal for everyone. If you’re looking for a desk that’s easy to assemble, this definitely isn’t the best option. If you’re comfortable with a moderately difficult assembly, or you will have adequate assistance, then this stylish desk is certainly an option worth considering. My favorite feature of this desk is the thick desktop. My least favorite feature of this desk is the difficulty of assembly. It would have been much easier to assemble with pre drilled pilot holes in the desktop, and with clearly written instructions, rather than just simple diagram illustrations. Once assembled, it’s a very stylish looking desk, that pairs well with my decor. Overall, I’m satisfied with the quality, style, and value, of this Martha Stewart desk. At under $169, it’s a reasonably good value, an option certainly worth considering.

Easiest desk we've ever assembled
Ikea, take notes! This thing is elegant, sturdy, and just about the easiest thing I've ever put together. If you can lift the box, you can put this together with zero help. It's sturdy enough for daily use and abuse, and the surface doesn't scratch easily. The corners don't hurt to rest your arm on while you type.
