Dritz 406 1/4-Inch by 10-Yard Wash Away Wonder Tape (3 Pack)

Excellent product for stabilizing jersey knits in preparation for sewing. I like that the tape disappears after washing. The only thing I don't like is finding the edge to peel off the double-sided tape, which drives me crazy. But that is the nature of all double-sided tapes, not just this one.

I don't really know how I feel about this stuff. I used it to help with a pattern that had lots of flat-felled seams, and it was definitely helpful to keep the fabric from shifting while I sewed the narrow seams. But it was so difficult to work with, I'm not sure I will use it again. The first couple of feet off the roll wasn't sticky at all, so I had to unroll a bunch to find where it started getting sticky. After that it was so sticky and kind of...gooey in spots it got all over everything. Detaching the plastic to adhere the other side was difficult as well.

I make a lot of scrub hats for hospital OR workers and this involves sewing around a circle. While one can certainly pin all the way around before sewing, that's a lot of pinning and unpinning (and stabbed fingers). I have found Wonder Tape works very well to stick the fabric wrong sides together prior to sewing. It also nicely does not gum up your sewing machine needle when you sew into or over it. One note-- if you tape everything down and then don't sew for awhile, the adhesive may pull apart depending on the tension and humidity/temp of where you leave your project.

Not sure how I worked without this before! Absolutely the only thing I use for slippery materials and knits. The most recent project I used it for was a taslan water resistant jacket and lining. The super slippery material of both the bemberg lining and taslan outer would have been impossible to work with otherwise!I always rub the edges of the tape with my fingers to help adhesion and to help remove the paper backing. I have tested some materials with and without this tape and using this tape truly eliminates wavy, unstable edges!

I love this product! I often sew with knit fabrics and have struggled to sew a straight hem. This tape helps to keep the hem exactly where it should be while I sew. Excellent product!

I've used other brands with no issue. This stuff was impossible to tear away the paper layer to expose the other sticky side. I'd have to dig at it with a seam ripper. Just too much of a hassle. Since it was a three pack, I tried another roll, same results. Threw all three away :(

I've been using this washable tape for a couple of months. I use it for stitching in zippers in the bags I make. Works better than using pins.

Once one gets the hang of peeling the adhesive off of the paper, it’s easy to use to stabilize stretchy knit for seams. There is a long lead of paper so look for where the adhesive begins.

Exactly as described and pictured. Fast delivery to the literal middle of nowhere. And this stuff is perfect for attaching lace seems to avoid stretch while it goes through the machine. And because it washes right out, (it truly does wash RIGHT out) you'd never know it was there.
