Good unit with one flaw
I bought this unit to replace a poor quality one that came with a Strat kit I was building. The big steel block was just what I was after. The block works increadbly well delivering good sustain and a brighter sound than the usual zink ones. The saddles are (to my surprise) aluminium! This no doubt also adds a bit more sparkle.Like other types of Wilkinson tremolos the arm is seated in a nylon sleeve that has a grub screw witch can be tightened with a (supplied) allen keyHowever, UNLIKE other Wilkinson's I own there is no "top collar" on the base plate through which the grub screw passes. Instead the screw passes through the back of the sustain block. OK fine, BUT when I was setting up the trem (requiring the base plate to be "decked" flat on the body with the trem arm pointing away from the pickups) the resulting force was sufficient to "pop" the grub screw, stripping the thread in the block. The arm was now so loose that it could fall out if you turned the guitar over. Not what I wanted.I did manage to jury-rig a fix involving dismantling everything, a Dremel, a wedge and a hammer and everything is working now but I do think the grub screw should have more thread.Other than that this tremolo is working better than most and it's actually very hard to get the guitar to go out of tune even with the wildest dive bombs .

Great Trem
Easy to fit sturdy but make sure the saddles are in the right order before stringing like most it uses variable length screws to adjust the saddle hight so they dont stick out too much but in my case there were pairs of short ones where there should have been long. An easy fix if you spot it before you string up, pain if you dont.Require US size hex key to adjust or you will strip the screws.
