We needed something to scare off bears from chomping down on our hot tub cover at our cabin in the mountains. We mounted this on a railing post nearby and in the bears’ path of travel. It seems to do the trick. Haven’t had any more damage. Scared me half to death when I set it off accidentally. So I know it works well. You can set the noise to different levels but the loudest is the most effective. It emits very loud sounds of gunshots and dogs barking. If you use this in a neighborhood, you should warn your neighbors. It is very realistic sounding. I am very pleased with the purchase.

This thing has scared me multiple times.It works well to keep unwanted animals out of your garden, lawn....etc.Very LOUD and effective.

I have a major problem with bears and bought three of these alarms to place in different sites on my property. Very easy to set up and really helpful to have a remote control. And the alarm in action - WOW. Really loud on the setting as it comes and I love that it continues for quite a long time, then when you think it is done it comes on again. And then there are the six flashing lights along with the audio. The bears hate it and their incursions are now virtually zero. I should also mention that the price makes these alarms a very inexpensive so overall I am more than delighted.

I call these “terror devices.” Read on to understand why.I now own 15 of these, having started out with two originally. I use them in several barns we have on our ranch to keep raccoons, skunks and foxes out. The do an outstanding job of scaring these critters off.I don’t use the remotes because these are so easy to program with the buttons on the “terror device.” The instructions are clear and easy to understand and in fact, the instructions are printed on the “terror device.”These get adequate charging each day even with ambient light. My barns basically are open on both ends and all but one “terror device” charge inside the bars near the entrances.One word of caution… I have to wear noise canceling headsets if I need to go out to one of my barns at night. I keep all of the “terror devices” set to the loudest audio setting, and for me, they are SO LOUD, they are painful.I’m happy with my purchase but the raccoons, skunks and foxes are mad as you know what.
