4oz Organic Cold Pressed Jamaican Black Castor Oil for Hair Growth and Damaged, Dry Scalp - Unscented, Hexane-Free

I used this product on my hair and skin for over a year now. Especially on my face, it has help decrease wrinkles on my forehead and assist with regrowing of my hair edges. Great product.

I have naturally light blonde 3A/3B very curly fine hair. I generously apply this directly to my scalp using the dropper and basically spend half an hour to an hour massaging it in with my fingers. It smells terrible to me, and I typically like earthy/strong smells. It smells like ash and cigarette smoke. It's also surprisingly viscous and thick (and as far as I can tell, all JBCO is like this). I could never leave it on my scalp for more than 8-10 hours overnight lest I look like I haven't showered in years. I believe this is a fairly universal experience for people with fine hair using JBCO, but so far it seems to be worth it. I leave it on my scalp overnight alongside Olaplex (two times a week) and wash it off in the morning. My scalp is no longer over-producing oils and feels more conditioned and soft to the touch. I've noticed that on the days after I use JBCO, the curls in my hair are INCREDIBLE. My hair is shiny and bouncy. No oil residue or anything of the sort gets left over either and the smell quickly dissipates after washing it out. I feel like in terms of overall scalp conditioning and nourishing, the benefits of this outweigh the unpleasantries of using it, and I'd wager that scalp health contributes greatly to hair growth!

Quality of oil is impeccable however I wish i would have read description thoroughly as the bottle is NOT glass although it looks as glass in the photos, it is a flimsy plastic bottle and generic cap (extremely disappointing) good thing I had a glass bottle to transfer to! Leaving 4 stars because of this.Castor eats through plastic over time especially good quality oil. Will purchase again but only if company has glass bottle

I have sensitive skin/scalp amd my scalp does really well with this product. I have to use pure ingredients on my skin/scalp, and this one proved faithful and true. I have thick 4c hair. I use it on my curls and well as when my hair is straightened. My scalp is moisturized after using the product, and there's minimal itching!!! I read that it will itch first few uses due to cleansing. The more I use it, the less it itches. It leaves my hair so so soft. My hair soaks it up. I absolutely love this stuff because it's so hard for me to find porducts due to being so sensitive. Only downside is it's a little smelly. It's like a slight cigarette smell. I will keep using though because it works.

I'm a 35 year old woman, who's hair started falling out alarmingly a few years ago. Every time I would brush it, or touch it, clumps of strands would just come out.Honestly I thought I'd be bald by now because of it.I started taking biotin since that's what was the top recommended thing for hair loss that wasn't prescription.....and found out I'm highly allergic to it.As a last prayer and hope I ordered this, and I wish I had found it sooner.Instead of clumps of hair, it's like 6 strands now everytime I brush it.I can touch my hair now and it doesn't fall out.My partline is starting to fill in a little.This stuff is basically magic.It doesn't smell good or bad really, it's pretty mild, but it is definitely oil that just stays on your head. It takes days to absorb, but honestly I'd rather have a oily head than a balding one.The dropper they give you is pretty worthless too. It doesn't suck up alot of oil, and it drips everywhere, so pull it out over your head or be prepared for some spillage.It's not a big enough hassle for it to be a major complaint tho.I definitely highly recommend this stuff, and I'm so very thankful that I found it!

Let me first say that i am a big fan of oils, and months back i decided to try JBCO. I ordered this oil and absolutely loved it! It was dark and rich, the smell was nice burnt nuts. When on the skin it was great for hydration and for my scalp, having long dreadlocks.Now to the bad part. I ordered this product again, being very happy the first time. I just received it in the mail, and immediately noticed the cap on the bottle was different. The new bottle had a white cap, while the old one had a black cap. I thought maybe it was just a packaging difference, but upon opening i realized that wasn't the case. The new oil is awful. I can usually handle different smells, especially with oils, but this was nothing short of disgusting. It smelled like burnt cigarettes, but even more potent. I then poured the oil out to check the color and consistency. The new oil came out easily, much thinner of an oil, and the color was a pale yellow. Totally different oil than the first one. I'm not sure if this is a defect, or if their oil changed so much in just a few months. I returned it immediately.i'm going to try and order again, hopefully i receive the first one i fell in love with, and not this awful knock off.

I just started using this oil so I’ll be waiting for more results but so far the oil is thick and easy to apply. It softened up my cracked heels right away. My husband and I are both trying it for hair growth and condition. I’ve never used castor oil. Years ago someone wanted me to take it to bring on labor as I was overdue. I didn’t take it because I thought castor oil was for constipation. I had no idea of all the other uses. We do plan to keep it coming.
