Got this in the shower. Much better in black metal, doesn’t look like some medical device.

My mom recently had surgery and needed these installed in her shower. They were perfect and easy to install. They are also very sturdy and the color was a perfect match to her hardware. Great price point and function!

These are beautiful stainless shower safety handles. However, screws broke in pre-drilled holes even before they tightened up. So, over torque was not the issue. Drywall anchors for a safety handle? Not a good plan! My wife is having double knee replacement soon, so, I had to get something ready for her quickly. We just bought a fixer-upper house, it is an old shower that I plan on tiling next spring. In order to get a solid mount, I cut 1x4's long enough to reach studs on both ends and then mounted the handles to the boards. Good and solid safety mounting. A coat of Flex Seal took care of water issues on the wood.

I used these as grab handles mounted to drywall at two stair positions in my house so that my elderly parents could step up easily. Mounted simply and provided a solid hand hold for them.

Better and stronger than I expected. My father used them safely till the last day of his life. Great product and fantastic value.

I installed one 16 inch bar at the tub and another one in the shower, both vertical, on imitation marble panels.I used a stud finder and pieces of painters tape to locate and choose the desired studs behind the panels.I verified their location by checking near the ceiling then transfered the locations down with a level.Next I slid the two covers on to the grab bar and taped them together.Next I bolted on the two base plates tightly, aligning one hole straight up, and the other end straight down.While trying to hold the bar against the panel it would slide while marking the holes. I had to tape it to the panel with duck tape in a v formation.I only had a 3/16 diamond grit drill bit, a little smaller than the 6 mm or 15/64 called for.I wore a belt type LED head light and a mask. I drilled the top and bottom holes straight in, but the side holes on a slight angle toward the stud.I used a cup of water to cool the bit and a rag to wipe it. I sprayed the hole with water occasionally. I used a 15/64 metal bit to finish the holes to the stud.Then drilled a 7/64 "bit into the stud, as a guide for the longer screws 3.5 mm 9/64 x 2 inches, which I bought to bite into the stud about 3/4".Next I tapped in the nylon anchors, adding a dab of caulk before the final setting, for water proofing.Next I screwed the screws in a little, alternating till all were just snug, not over tightened.The 16 inch length is perfect, and the knurled 1.2 inch bar diam. Is also perfect. It feels solid and very secure.If they prevent a fall it will be well worth the trouble.For the tub I'm going to paint that one white to match.

Easy to place on wall and very sturdy once attached. Good quality since they have a mid section that is not slippery. Nice size ad they are not too big but plenty of hand room. Great money value. Recommended and you will not be disappointed.
