Decent XQD reader with great card ejection mechanism
Update Jan 2022: Still using the reader but the usb-c cable it came with has begun to fail. I thought it might be the reader itself, but I popped another cable on and the reader came right back to life! This is why you want to use card readers with removable/replaceable cords!Original review: Surprised there are no reviews for this fine product. This reader is unique at this $20 price point (Sept 2021) in that it features a removable USB cord. Most of these cheapo readers have the fixed cords that fail after multiple times of being stuffed into a bag. I won't buy a reader that doesn't have a removable and replaceable cord. The performance is good, probably because all these sub $50 readers use the same type of controllers/internals. I tested a Indmem brand 128gb card, as well as a Sony G 32gb XQD card and they both performed well (on a MacBook Pro). The Indmem card downloads a bit slower than the Sony card (thats where your lower card price comes from) but both worked fine. Also, the insertion and ejection of the card is wonderful, it has a spring loaded insertion mechanism similar to inserting a SD card into a camera. Many of the other $20 readers I tested nearly gouged the card with their rough mechanisms. Also, an additional bonus is this reader works with the Kingston Workflow Station! The only flaw I have to mention is the aluminum housing of the reader is not finished on the edges and is very sharp out of the box. I had to tape up the card and usb cord openings and grind down the sharp aluminum edges with my Dremel tool and a sanding drum. Nice and smooth now. Trust me, it was worth it, I really like this reader, the spring loaded mechanism feels like the one in my Nikon D4.

Works as it should most of the time
Transferring files are usually fast and without issue when it works. I find occasionally it takes a little longer to seemingly connect as it should and it becomes a waiting game. I suspected it could be the usb connection though all looks normal with it.

doesn't even pretend to work
Won't read to drive. I guess thats what you get with cheap manufacturing.

Doers not connect
Every time I use this card reader I have issues with the drive letter showing up in Windows 10. It makes the sound when I plug it in but no drive letter. I would pick another brand with better reviews.
