Lovely model but fairly hard to build
Bought this for my 9yr old grandson for Christmas. He loves building things and his Dad helped him with this. There was at least one piece missing but they contacted the manufacturer and they sent out the replacement piece very quickly. The made up model is lovely.

Some parts are slightly fiddly but good instructions and helpful videos support the build and excellent end product

Value for money
We saw this kit at an attraction in Warwick. It was 50% dearer there for the very same item 👍

Fun to make
Bought as a present for my nephew. Really easy to make. He loved it. Boxing day, everyone got chocolate whizzed at them whether they wanted a piece or not.

Fantastic
The product was great for my daughter’s school project. She assembled the Trebuchet and it looked amazing - and for her efforts, her history teacher gave her top marks.Thank you.

Picture wrong
This is not a true trebuchet as shown in the picture. Instead of a sling that runs along a trough you have a classic cup on the end of the arm. True, it is powered by a heavy weight rather than elasticated band. If you are intending this kit to show how a trebuchet works then you will be disappointed. There is a hinged joint at the cup end of the arm that does provide a flick action, but it tends to flick the projectile into the ground rather than the air. The firing mechanism is a bit naff. It consists of a peg onto which you put a loop of string. To fire the device you push the loop off the peg with a supplied stick!!The kits consists of precut and sanded pieces, together with PVA glue and good instructions. I would recommend making this model in stages. Most of the joints consist of gluing flat surfaces together. Not the interlocking joints shown in the picture. You need to stop every so often and wait for the glue to set properly. The description says that it contains everything that you need. It does not. You need to supply the weights. Pebbles or coins will do. You also need to provide the projectile. It is a fun kit to make. The quality is good. It fires (sort off). It's just not a proper trebuchet. The timberkit website has the correct pictures of the finished model.
