***product does not come with cord so make sure you have onethe negative reviews gave me pause but I am a fan of small black&decker products so I just bit the bullet and got this one. This is my first electronic trimmer and I love it so far! Cuts on certain branches are not clean cut like how it would be if I used shears... not sure if I'm doing it right but it gets the job done. I was able to prune my old Azalea bushes that have woody branches.it took me awhile to put on the shield thing, you have to push it in to lock it into place and then screw on the screw. It was confusing because it fit well on the trimmer so I didn't realize I had to push it in further so that it lines up with the machine's grooves.also, a little silly but I did cut my cord a little so you still have to be careful where the cord is relative to the blade...

Excellent trimmer. This is a replacement for a trimmer that we’ve had for nearly 20 years, it worked well and probably would still be working had it not gotten destroyed in a fire.Handy to use, lots of power, will trim anything you can get into the blades.

They are very light but do a terrific job. My petite wife has claimed them as hers. She uses them to trim our bushes. Glad we purchased them

Wow, this worked so easy and so fast. I want to kick myself for not buying one sooner. This Black and Decker hedge trimmer worked like a charm, and I have never used an electric trimmer before! It is lightweight and easy to handle. I probably went a little overboard in trimming my hedges, but they will grow back. lolI don't give 5 stars to many products or services, so this is a definite great purchase.

I used the trimmer the other day. I trimmed 3 bushes with ease. No hangups or stuck blade. Just add some oil sometimes and this trimmer should last for years. I like Black and Decker products. They do the job!

Great hedge trimmer

Worked very well. Sharp blades cut through bush branches easily. Before using the had guard needs to be installed, but is easy to remove one screw, insert it, and re-install the screw. When using, it's important to use the correct length power cord with the proper amp-hour rating as shown in the user guide.
