Everest EZ2A Violin Shoulder Rest 1/2 Size

comfy
My son is using this on his 1/2 size violin and gives it 5 stars! He says it is very comfortable and it doesn't pop off all the time. He is a fairly child, but it does seem stable and to sit just right. Good design!

Good rest while it lasts
My 8 year old has been using this for about a year. And it worked well up until a few weeks ago. Comfortable, right size, not cumbersome, etc.Things to consider:1. No instructions on how to adjust size. If you have little violin experience, this may stump you since the rest fits multiple size violins. Our instructor instructed us on the use of the rest.2. After about a year of gentle use, playing 30 minutes a day on weekdays, taking rest off and storing each day, the rubber part detached from the rest. This is the part that keeps the rest on the violin. It is now useless and there is no warranty. This is a problem because the rest fits 2 violin sizes, but surely will not make it until your student graduates to a larger instrument. This leaves us repurchasing the rest or trying to fix it with hot glue/super glue. Which is what we will do, since I don't want to spend more money on something that will most likely break again before we graduate out of this rest.Durability alone gives the overall rating because if you can't use it, there isn't much point to buying the item.
