Informative
Brilliant illustrations of all the ships at Trafalgar, with cut outs and rules to play the Battle of Trafalgar. Highly recommended.

Depends what you're after.....
If you plan on using these for wargaming, prepare for an absolute nightmare assembly & many, many hours spent on a near impossible task. They're just paper, so adding your own materials is recomended. On the plus side if you'd just love to look at the actual ships in the battle it's a great book, but limited in its purpose

Great models for the wargamer
I brought these with low expectations but they are brilliant. We use them at my wargames club to play Blood, Bilge and Iron Balls. They work perfectly and look very good on the table. Simply amazing value for money and we have had hours of fun with them.

So you want to try naval wargaming
Okay you know the problem, you want to try a new wargaming period but the cost of miniatures is an issue. This can be especially true of naval games and add to that the fragile nature of the models themselves. This book is one solution that provides full fleets for the outlay for the book, some time copying and printing and then cutting out. Do not be put off by the thought of cutting out, yes you can trim out all the background with time and patience, but a simpler outline, pencilled in blue background is far easier and still looks good. There are no rules in the book but are available in the Paperboys website, but there are plenty others out there, "Fire as she bears" being my own favouriteBest things for me is that if a paper mini is damaged it is easily replaced at next to no cost and this makes a great project for the budding younger captains in the family

Nice Set of Ships
Very good source for sailing ship war gaming. You can either photocopy the pages and cut those out or you can cut the pages of the book. There is a set of simple rules on the Helion & Co. webpage.
