50s architectural elegance
The famous Danish architect Arne Jacobsen designed this elegant cutlery in the 1950s and it retains its futuristic style. Very quick turnaround from Georg Jensen, and delivered in a beautiful gift box.

2001 cutlery!
I too bought this cutlery after seeing the Stanley Kubrick exhibition currently on at the Design Museum in London. I'm a Kubrick fan and 2001 fan!! Beautiful design lovely to hold. Yes it's pricey but it will last a long time I hope

Jacobsen space odyssey cutlery

Stylish, practical and actually modern.
Bought this after seeing 50th anniversary showing of 2001: A Space Odyssey. OK, I’m impressionable. Cutlery is marvellous. It feels even better than it looks, and it looks “modern” in a way that so little cutlery does. Comfortable to hold and no tricky corners cutting into the hand. I’ve only owned it for an hour but so far, so good.

I feel conned
The knives are much lighter than the forks and spoons, stain easily and the brand name is black. Considering what they cost, Inwould have expected the knives to be of the same quality as the spoons and forks. Very disappointing. So is the fact that they were made in China. This is not the quality you expect from Georg Jensen.
