Wouldn't recommend
The toy itself is cute, I will give it that, but I wouldn't recommend it overall. There's very few things to do with it, and kid got bored of it quickly. The shapes that come with it to go in the mouth are incredibly small and wildly easy to choke on (purchased for a 10 month old because it was listed for 6, 9+ - perhaps this is my mistake, just an FYI for others to be aware). The music seems to only play Christmas tunes. The octopus will move around on its own and such though, which is nice to watch. Cute.

Cute Little Musical Toy
I got this for a friend's son that is learning to crawl. She thought it may help him, since the octopus moves all around with lights and sounds. He absolutely loves it! While not crawling quite yet, he is definitely interested and watches it move all around the room. The octopus is really cute and it does so many things, we keep discovering new. The eyes can move and change, the gears on his head turn and he has little shapes tucked inside that can be taken out and put in his mouth. For younger babies, I would make sure to watch well while playing with this toy as there are smaller parts. This is a really fun infant toy and I would recommend!

This is the cutest little toy
I don't know who is going to like it best, the baby or the dog. This little crab just crawls around the room while music plays from its mouth. This encourages your little one to try to crawl after the crab. It is so cute to see the crab crawling around the room and the baby trying so hard to get on her knees and crawl after it.The crab is a very colorful blue and yellow. The description says it is high quality shatterproof material so the crab should last forever. The head doubles as a small storage space for blocks. I haven't let the dog see the crab yet because I know he would go chasing right after it and it isn't the dog's toy.I highly recommend this cute little crab for your cute little kiddo.

not bad and my 6month old grandson should enjoy this by the time christmas rolls around
my grandson is gonna love this. by the time christmas gets here he'll be 8 months old. i love that it moves around. the shapes. colors. buttons. all the stuff he can do is great. should also give him something to chase as he should be crawling here real soon. i did take a few stars off though, reason for this is the page claims 6 to 12 months, however on the bottom of the box itself the warning clearly states not suitable for children under 3 years. the only thing i might not let my grandson have at his age is the blocks as they are fairly small. the rest though i think is perfectly fine for a 6 to 12 month old baby. overall though it seems sturdy and should be able to take a beating. recommend - at the moment, NO. until that warning and the actual age child this is for is cleared up i would not recommend it. once that warning and age are cleared up then yes i would recommend it. but again not until thats all cleared up.quick update as to whether my grandson loves this. answer is he absolutely goes nuts chasing it around. once he catches it. he sits up and kicks it. funniest thing ever to watch.

Good find!
This will be going to our friends baby in a few months- he isn't quite old enough yet, but I figured since it was available, I would check it out first! I believe he is going to love it. He is fascinated with colors and shapes, so this will be wonderful for him. It has plenty of things to occupy a baby for a while. The only thing that was a little strange to me, was the "songs"...but I would guess that's because I'm used to hearing music from high quality sound systems at this point in my life. It seems pretty durable, which is good because everyone knows kids like to send things flying across the room haha! Overall, I'd say this is a good find!

Tiny pieces!!
It's cute, it's colorful, it moves, and it plays songs (including some Christmas music mixed in which seemed odd). We took away the small pieces, though, because they definitely look small enough for an infant to choke on (even though this is advertised for 6 - 12 months). It actually says on the box that it's not suitable for children under 3 years old! For that reason alone I wouldn't recommend this for an infant, and am giving just one star because of the dangerously misleading product listing. If you do give it to an infant, please remove the small pieces first!!

love it
My toddler loves this toy. Add batteries and watch him go. He has a lot of neat little things my toddler can do. I am very happy with it and hope it will help him walk more.

The mouth turns.
It took me a long time to figure out that the mouth turns to show the different shapes. One of the legs wasn't moving and it was a little annoying to figure out. Regardless, we finally got it figured out and one of the kids enjoys playing with it, the other is terrified. Still a cute toy though.
