Wonder Woman Officially Licensed Costume Boots

These DO hug tight! I wasn't sure I'd be able to zip them but I was. They're the type of material that might loosen as it's worn and they get to be a little stuffy since it's a vinyl or plasticized leather-like material so colder weather only if you plan to wear them out. Otherwise you'll be left sweating. The heel itself, though tall, is chunky so it's a lot sturdier than you might think but if you're like me and don't/can't wear heels, don't take a crash course run just before you need to go, walk in them around your home while you're doing everyday things: vacuuming, sweeping, and even sitting at the desk because eventually you will have to get up and wherever you go is another chance to see if you can walk in them and break them in. It won't hurt as much when you dance and this is just facts about heels in general. I mean, let's be clear: THEY ARE HEELS!!! Costume heels are heels and even though men wore heels first, 77% women now suffer foot pain caused by improper footwear. These are a costume heel which for a night out are sturdy, pretty, and slightly small.

I bought these for my Wonder Woman costume and they're hideous. I'm a size 8-8.5 and at first I got the medium and they were way too small. I returned them and got the large and they were ridiculously huge. There's no in between. They are very cheaply made and not worth the money at all. The zippers barely work and seem like they will break within the first wear. They scuff very easily. Not only did they arrive with scuffs already on them, but just trying them on inside my house got them scuffed up even more. The red and white color comes right off like it's paint. The smell of them is absolutely disgusting. The second pair arrived with a weird brown stain all along the inside of the boot. They really aren't attractive to me, the don't look like Wonder Woman boots anyway. They look like a cross between stripper boots and go-go boots. I returned both pairs and I'm going to find something else for my costume.

The look is perfect, the heels are tall, and the vinyl is very squeaky. It's definitely a costume boot, but that's exactly what I was looking for.Based on the comments I read before buying, I had two concerns-- zipper quality and scuffing. Neither has been a problem for me. While the boots are in fact very tight through the calf, the zippers stood up to the stretch and the zipped-up result makes my legs look phenomenal. The additional height out of the platform and heel also does wonders for my confidence, which is a great contrast to the standard crummy costume product experience. And now, after a full two days of wear at parties and plenty of kicks and squeaks (I don't wear heels very often and am a bit uncoordinated), there's still no scratches or scuffs on the surface. Definitely worth the price and a high point of my Wonder Woman costume.I normally wear either a 6 or 7 shoe, depending on the brand, which left me right in the middle of the small-medium size gap. I ended up ordering a small, and I've had no problems with the fit. I am seriously considering getting inserts though, as the inside of the boot isn't very comfortable for long-term standing. Otherwise, the fit is fantastic.

I'd had my eye on these for like 3 years, but assumed they would be uncomfortable and cheap (especially with the vague Small, Medium, Large sizing). When Amazon changed them to have free return shipping (and I had a deep seeded need to attend a costume party as the almighty diva herself) I figured why not give them a try, if nothing else than to get them off my wishlist once and for all. But I was pleasantly surprised to find that they weren't bad at all (and I have tricky feet)!I normally wear an 8-8.5, but since I have somewhat wide feet I thought I'd go with the 9 to be safe. I put them on and they fit great! A little room to spare, but the way my feet fit down into them, it was fine (and I'd rather have a little bit of room than have to endure tight shoes!). Walking in them was a little challenging at first because they literally make you about 7 inches taller than you're used to.. standing up from a seated position and going up stairs were the trickiest, but it didn't take long to get used to because the platforms are pretty thick and sturdy (and I'm a clutz, so if I can walk in them pretty much anyone can).I was worried about wearing them all night, but we were there until 3 am and I stood almost the entire time and I hardly noticed. Plus they looked AWESOME on!! I got millions of compliments on the boots alone (and the rest of the costume was a pretty amazing, handmade, meticulously detailed, 100% Linda Carter knock off.. not the cheap foam costume from the halloween store). But the boots took center stage. People even insisted on trying them on and everyone that put them on (even my friend with teeny size 6 feet) walked around in them comfortably. They're like those pants, but way more awesome.I kind of wish I could wear these everywhere.. like to the grocery store, gardening, work.. because I literally felt like wonder woman in these. I'm only 5'4", so being almost 6" tall made me feel like a total leggy goddess.Oh and they do definitely come over your knee unlike the picture.. mine were probably about 2 inches over the knee, but they still looked fantastic.. in fact I kind of liked the extra boot since the rest of my outfit was pretty skimpy (basically bathing suit bottoms and a corset) and it was an exceptionally cold halloween night!!So overall, worth every penny just to feel as amazing as I did that night.
