I go through tripods like there is no tomorrow so I see a lot of them and this is one of my favorites.

Best of the low cost tripods.

I love this tripod but the only thing I would like different is to make the top of the tripod when you have it completely open to be able to get down quicker instead of having to wind it down.

Overview- The product reviewed is the black version of the Bonfoto "ZOMEI" 72 inch tripod which includes adapters to support various cameras and cell phones.Positives- This tripod is certainly light and easy to pack and carry.- It comes with a thin nylon zippered carrying case.- It is very easy to expand, set up and use.- It has adapters to accommodate multiple cell phone sizes and a few other audio/video items.- The adapters have many different angles and adjustments both vertical and horizontal for different camera positions.- The price point for this item is great given its challenges but to the point that it makes it nearly disposable if you also have cheap recording equipment that can risk being exposed to harsh environments and situations.Negatives- Most everything on this rig is plastic except for the telescoping legs which are lightweight aluminum.- The head height adjustment gear track and crank are plastic.- The leg locking cams are plastic. They lock with good tension for now, but time will tell.- When extended over 4 feet with the weight of the recording equipment the unit becomes unstable without weight balancing. This unit is listed to work at nearly 6 feet high.- The "weight balancing" or "stabilizing" hook in the middle of the assembly (to hang a weighted bag for stability) seems very light duty. No maximum weight for that plastic hook is listed other than the total amount of load the tripod handles is 15 pounds.Overall- The positives are clear, but in my mind, still do not out-weigh the negatives.- I say purchase only if you have a need for a cheaper tripod to abuse and replace.

Great product.

This tripod is just to flimsy to do any type of serious / semi-serious photography with it. The tripod extends to a height of 74" with all legs extended, using 4 leg extensions on each leg, which in my opinion, are 3 extensions too many. All the areas that are used in a braking fashion are all plastic where, they should be metal. The whole unit is very wobbly when extended. Almost all of the components except the legs and a few other parts are all plastic and not what I would consider high quality plastic. The center elevation rod with gear teeth that run up its side and the gear winder are also made of plastic and when rotating the winder, it was not smooth in fact none of the positional gears , levers and plates, work well together. It does include a cell phone holder but alas made of, you guessed it, plastic. One interesting feature is an included carrying handle but even that has an issue, it is not well centered and just doesn't feel right when you carry it. If you are looking for a tripod that can be extended as much as this can extend you are going to have to spend some dollars and purchase a tripod that was exclusively made to extend that far and not this one.

Completely surprised at the quality. So many different ways to use it. Great value for what I paid. To be honest, I expected a cheap little thing for the price. I was just buying a temporary one until I find my "real" one in my packed house! This absolutely won't be tossed aside once I do find my other one!
