Awesome sword
I own several Honshu swords and blades. None have let me down. This is no exception. Blade as a hollow grind for those of you that blade grinds are important. Extremely well balanced. Only possible complaint is the grip is very aggressive, I have rough hands as a technician but would never use this without gloves.

Well worth the buy. The steel quality is as described.
The only reason I'm giving this a 4 star rating is because the allen head bolts that hold the tang to the hilt ( 6 in all ) were under-tightened causing some play in the sword at the hilt. Fortunately I had an allen wrench that fit the bolts, tightened them and had no more play at the hilt after. I'm mechanically inclined so this kind of issue was nothing to me, but if this had been sent to someone w/o such experience I'm pretty sure they'd have been quite upset demanding an exchange or refund.This sword is fantastic. The manufacturer ( or distributor ) even oiled the blade which was something I did not expect and very much appreciate. The balance is very fair, barely 2 inches into the blade past the base of the guard and the metal is exactly as advertised ( and yeah it's nice and sharp too ).

Very nice sword but plastic scabbard not so good
I like this sword it arrived quickly and very sharp.BUT the plastic scabbard is way to tight. If you push the sword all the way in you CAN NOT remove it. You will need to pry it out with a screw driver. I contacted the company and was told that"s the way they are.I asked if they could replace it or sell me another scabbard, they said NO.I explained that this is dangerous and that you can pull as hard as you can and it wont come out with out prying it out. Be careful when pulling so hard that some day it may pop out and you might get cut in the process.

Great Sword terrible sheath
This sword is great. Balance and weight are perfect. But the sheath is a huge disappointment. It does seem to have a wood core but the outside is plastic/epoxy. They should really offer this with a leather sheath.
