Overview: This caterpillar kit was awesome! The materials were easy to work with and the tutorial videos were great. I’ve never crocheted a day in my life before and it turned out so cute!!The instructions:It may not have been in completely perfect English in the booklet and the video, but it was no problem at all and super easy to follow! The booklet is a little daunting at first if you’ve never crocheted before like me, but it recommends to start with the video and I absolutely agree because it has great tutorials and walks you through every single step of the entire project, making everything so simple. By the end, I felt like a pro. Do be warned though, it shows a couple different methods for certain stitches which is great, but when following along just pay attention to which variation they’re using and stick to one so you don’t confuse yourself. They’re pretty clear about it though. (Extra tip I learned: If it’s not looking right, check your tension. This was my biggest problem at first.)The materials:Everything was top notch. The colors were vibrant, the string was soft and strong (I undid and redid whole rows sometimes multiple times for OCD and the string held up totally fine), the tools are great and will be reused for hopefully many more projects to come! The eye pieces were great and the stuffing was good as well. There was even leftover string for all of the colors so you don’t have to worry about making bigger or smaller stitches.Overall:This was a fantastic introduction to crocheting for me! It turned out so perfect, soft and squishy and warm and just so dang cute. I honestly didn’t expect how much I would love it. It would make a great gift for a kid or someone who’s having a baby. So, I highly recommend, you can tell the care and attention put into every piece of this product, and I would absolutely buy from them again. I’ve got the crochet bug now!

This is my second ever crochet project and I found the videos easy to follow along. I'm glad this wasn't my first project, though, since the yarn that came in the kit wasn't the easiest to work with. It kept splitting and I kept grabbing only one or two strands with my hook instead of all four. Still, I was able to make the pattern and I think it's super cute.

Really enjoyed this kit for the most part. Good instructions and pair well with the videos. Overall a pretty good value for the price, especially having everything you need included. This is my second ever crochet project so I definitely think it’s beginner friendly. My only complaint is about the yarn. Certain colors were very prone to splitting and two of the colors (both for the big turtle) were knotted together in their separate spools, almost as if two of the same color had just been tied together to make those spools bigger. I had to ditch whatever part I was working on when I encountered these knots and start over on that part, as there was no way to hide that big knot and the yarn ends sticking out of it. But overall a good kit.

Love this kit. Came with everything needed to make the caterpillar. Can’t wait to make this.
