Fun battery powered slot cars with dual loops
I'm already a fan of Art in slot cars. In fact, some of my favourite childhood memories are of racing them back in the 80s.This set is fairly true to the older sets, with battery powered controllers (6 x AA batteries required) and plastic cars with light up headlights that run on standard metal railed slot tracks. The track itself is easy to put together and has simple connectors that even younger children should be able to use. Combined with other sets, they can use their creativity to make larger tracks. This Road Star Challenge set has 2 separate loops that the cars individually race around, plus a tilting seesaw in the middle to fly over, replicating a jump. The set seems to be a re-release of an older Road Star Challenge set, with Mustang-style muscle cars. At present, there don't seem to be any alternative vehicles, but it would be nice to see more become available if Artin becomes popular again.6.5 metres of track, combined with a lap counter makes this a really good set, which is also fairly good value for what you get.Overall, I'd give this 4.5 stars due to the lack of spare parts included. You used to get spare brushes, etc, but none are included. That said, the build quality does seem to be even better than the old sets that I remember, so they should last well. Despite being suitable for ages 3+, I'd put this as being suitable for children slightly older and up to early teens. Even adults will enjoy it, as I can attest to, reliving their childhood playing with slot cars.

Cars don't go around the track
The track looks great when set up and my son was super excited to play, but the cars just don't go round the track, they keep getting stuck on the track or stop, I had made sure all parts are put together correctly as well. plus the remote controls are extremely difficult to actually plug in, all in all very disappointed and probably won't be played with again.

Large racing track
The race track is relatively large as it turns out so it takes up quite a bit of space. But it was easy enough to assemble and it wouldn't be too hard to take it apart again if space is an issue. The loop-the-loop section of the track was a little rickety so I'm not sure how well it will hold up over time, but it's a lot of fun for now. It's obviously aimed at younger children, as it doesn't have a lot of detail, and has limited replay value due to a lack of customisation.

Blast from the past!
As a kid I loved my scalextric tracks. Lost hours of my life building them and racing on them. This takes me back to that era.Over 6 metres of track with a standard configuration but you can make adjustments yourself and add in the loops and twists.Once built it’s about 6ft (1.8m) long and about 2ft (0.6m) wide so takes up a chunk of floor or table space.Easy enough to clip together, instructions are good quality. You’ll need 6 AAA batteries for the remotes so suggest a good quality battery as you will eat through them.Bandai are a well known toy manufacturer and this is another fine example of their range.Great fun

fuc racetrack
This racetrack is a guaranteed success for the Christmas. It's easy to build and it's great fun doing it with daddy and mummy. The track is long, over 6 metres in length but of course it doesn't take up 6m from the floor space. There is a loop the loop and a pivoting bride, 2 cars, one of them a police car. As a kid I had endless fun with a similar track so I can't wait to spend some more time with this one too. It will be really interesting to show my daughter a toy I used to play with when I was her age.
