So glad they make these to go with the humidifier. We have very hard water and it will help to extend the life of the humidifier greatly. They are easy to pop in. Do not affect the output of the humidifier at all. They work great. A little expensive.

I was reluctant to buy these filters beacuse of the reviews complaining that they smelled like fish. Apparently these people haven't smelled fish before because these filters smell nothing like fish to me and I grew up on a lake. There is a definite odor that I noticed when I first installed the filters, but it was more akin to an odor of a t-shirt that hadn't been washed before coming from wherever it was made. It's hard to explain, but it's sort of a sterile manufacturing type smell. Not off-putting at all and kind of faint, but certainly noticeable. That said, it's not an odor that bothers me in the least (it sort of notifies me that the humidifier is on) and I haven't seen any white powder since using the filters. The downside of course is the cost, but don't let the "fish odor" reviews deter you. Anyone that thinks these filters smell like fish are either full of fish or have never smelled a fish.

This is perfect for my Dreo 717s humidifier. No more white dust and it was easy to install. Build quality is great. Please DONT BUY THE BETTFILTER version of this stick to the real deal. I've returned the BETTFILTER because it was not right and I submitted a review. Trust me buy this.

Cuts down on white dust, but does not eliminate it. You have to use distilled water to keep the white dust down.

I had high hopes for the Dreo Demineralization Cartridge, but my experience has been nothing short of disappointing. This product is supposed to help reduce mineral buildup and improve the overall air quality from my humidifier, but it doesn’t deliver on either front. First off, it does absolutely nothing to prevent the buildup of white dust or mineral deposits. I noticed no difference at all in my humidifier’s performance or the amount of dust settling around the room. It’s as if I never even installed the cartridge. For a product that’s supposed to “demineralize,” it certainly fails to live up to its claims. To make matters worse, after just a couple of days of use, I started noticing a strange, unpleasant fishy smell coming from my humidifier. It was so bad that I had to stop using the cartridge entirely. The odor was overpowering and made the room smell terrible, completely defeating the purpose of running a humidifier in the first place. Instead of fresh, clean air, I was left with a room that reeked. Considering the price and the promises made by this product, I feel completely let down. Not only does it fail to do what it’s supposed to, but it actually makes things worse by introducing a foul odor. I wouldn’t recommend the Dreo Demineralization Cartridge to anyone. Save your money and look for a better solution that actually works.

I own two Dreo humidifiers and had been really frustrated by the white dust that was getting all over my house. It was coating everything — furniture, surfaces, you name it. I decided to try this filter to see if it would help. I was amazed by the results. As you can see in my photos, the black parts of the humidifier used to turn completely white from the mineral buildup. Since I started using this filter, that has completely stopped. And not just the humidifier — my furniture and other surfaces around the house are staying clean too. If you’re dealing with white dust from your humidifier, this filter is absolutely worth trying. I highly recommend it.

I had been using wicking filter humidifiers for years because I had the issue of the “white dust” film that these types of humidifiers leave. The dust was a pain because it doesn’t just quickly wipe off like normal dust but needs to be wiped off with effort. Winter came and I needed a new humidifier but the wicking filters are getting quite expensive. I ran the humidifier for about a week before these filters arrived and I had to clean the white dust off most everything in the room. I had my doubts to how much of a difference these filters would make but was impressed. I haven’t had any white dust even on the humidifier itself, yet anything else in the room. The price of 1 wicking filter is about equivalent to the 3-pack of these filters. I would highly recommend them for anyone who is having issues with the white dust and even someone using a wicking filter humidifier to change because the cost is 1/3. You get 3 months approximately for the approximate cost of 1 month for a wicking filter.

Those filters prevent white dust from being spread around by the humidifier. There are very high quality and do not feel cheap at all.

It's actually reduces scale buildup, it was worst than before I use the filter. The only reason why I give 4 stars is because the filter life is not that long. On the app said I need to replace weeks or some thing and I use tap water + cleaning cartridge, but I am not 100% sure if the filter is end of it life yet due to my humidifier sensor has It actually reduces scale buildup; it was worse before I used the filter. These Dreo Demineralization Cartridges do their job well for my humidifier, though they’re not quite as long-lasting as the OEM brand. Still, for the price, they’re a solid buy. The Good: ✔ Effective Mineral Reduction – Noticeably less white dust on surfaces. ✔ Easy to Install – Fits perfectly in my Dreo humidifier. ✔ 3-Pack Value – Lasts me ~6 months with regular use.
