Fantasia Anti-Stress Adult Coloring Book - 3rd US Edition - Single Sided Paperback – February 22, 2018

one of the best, if not THE best coloring books i’ve ever seen. it’s one-sided and spiral bound, the ideal presentation of a coloring book. then there’s the art. this book has everything anyone could want in a diverse coloring book. no matter the subject, all pictures are quality. what makes this superior is the pictures of all levels of complexity-sometimes you just want wanna zone out and color, others you wanna color a masterpiece. best of all, none of these pictures are “fillers”. no repetitive designs or geometric shapes. each picture stands on it’s own. and there’s a lot of them, which makes this book a steal. i hope he does more.however, this book does not have pages dedicated to flowers, repetitive designs, mandalas, etc. which are commonly found in coloring books. this book covers themes of myths, imagery of various cultures, and fantasy. so expect something different that suits beginner to advanced colorists.

The short, to the point, review:This is a fantastic Adult Coloring book!Worth the money.Beautiful illustrations.Top 3 of all time for me.Highly Recommended.THE DETAILED REVIEW:NEGATIVES:The ONLY downside, is the paper could be just a little bit better for people who use alcohol markers. The paper will want to curl, or get wavy on you if you don’t let it dry before continuing. Possibly wear a hole in it if your really heavy with the markers. Make sure to use a slip sheet behind it due to bleeding.PROS:Single sided images.Perforated paper.Line work is perfect, not to thin not to thick. Perfect.Artist did not over shade anything, left it all for grabs! Paper is good, you can use anything from pencils to gel lens to markers. Just go easy with some markers.Couldn’t ask for much more out of this book other then to have the artist start making more.

While disappointed, I still gave the book 4 stars because of the number and uniqueness of the images. I have his first book, Serene and it is what I measure all others by. Never have I found anything in that quality although a couple have came close. I was hoping that this would be similarly printed so was disappointed when i received and found the pages to be slick with little tooth.In other words the pages are not going to be great for the colored pencil user and may be an issuee for wet medium to be used. I tested the back page which has no image to color and found the following: 1. The Tombow pastel pink marker did not show through on the back and seemed to be otherwise fine 2. The Faber Castel light blue marker did not show through on the back but am not sure about the "slickness' having an effect in application as it seemed to slide across the page unlike images on card stock paper. 3. The "cheap" set of markers which i purchased on Prime day in lavender bled through to the back and smeared on the page even when using the supposed fine tip point.I do not usually work a lot with markers, the exception being pages printed on black. On those I have found that you either use pastels as the black background tends to blend in very dark colors or use markers. I have had some dramatic and pleasing results in using the markers, particularly since the black background hides where you go off design. (I was never good at coloring within the lines!) The book features several pages printed on black. You definitely want to remove the page before using any markers.The images themselves cover an extreme range. You may have a skull on one page and on the next a sweet looking young girl! I was prepared for a lot of fantasy images so was a bit surprised that some looked like an image you could find outside the fantasy arena.Some of the female images remind me of those in Serene, his first coloring book. As mentioned the quality of Serene is second to none. While it is out of print, you can find it in overseas markets but plan on spending around $40 including shipping. In Serene the pages are oversize, the paper quality is fabulous and the images unique and detailed. It is worth every penny. I am sure that it cost to produce such fine quality and perhaps that is why this one is printed on square 10 X 10 inch paper and the paper is not of the same grade.Of course there are way more images than Serene or that I was expecting which is greatly appreciated! I plan to copy these onto better paper and color those instead of the book images. Just a note, because of the size I will once again be bringing my cardstock to the copy store so that I can get the entire image. My printer unfortunately handles only standard paper so I would be looking at a partial image otherwise. I frequent copy a practice page before copying the real image, particularly where it is going to take a lot of time and effort to get it the way I want.All in all this is a great coloring book, most likely not for the beginner colorist but definitely for someone like me who is tired of the "same old images". Prepare to be disappointed if you were expecting a book like Serene, this is simply not like Serene.

I'm not sure what kind of paper is used in this book. But I love it. The images are unique yet familiar. Highly recommend this buy

I don't write many reviews, but this book deserves one. It's perfect for what it is. The spiral binding is great. The paper is heavy and has a nice texture. The pages are single-sided. And the drawings are excellent - the best I have seen in a coloring book. They are detailed but are not filled with a bunch of unrealistic geometric shapes like many other books. They are simply beautiful fantasy illustrations.

Unbelievably fun to color this book. I've been using gel pens with neon and they glow under black light. I've given away several drawings as gifts now. I recommend using packaging tape on the back of drawing and then you can place masking tape on the packaging tape to stick it wherever you like, i.e. on the walls, without a frame. I hope to get more of these books. I'm so happy with it

Absolutely stunning book. Well worth the money. I would purchase again!! It is very detailed.

J'ai une impression qu'on a mis ici les commentaires pour les différents editions.Là, entre mes mains une édition sur le papier quasi transparent, donc on ne parle pas de feutres. Et oui avec cette qualité de papier on achète des coloriages à 5-8 euros. Donc pour 35 j'esperais mieux...Vu que les illustrations sont magnifiques j'etais prête de les photocopier et imprimer sur le bon papier pour pouvoir colorier quand même, mais aussi des tâches d'ancre rouge à l'intérieur 😕 pfff, quelle déception. Retour.

Ich wollte „Fantasia“ ja eigentlich schon seit ein paar Jahren haben, aber leider war es nicht zu bekommen.Jetzt hab‘ ich mich endlich getraut die US-Ausgabe über den Amazon Global Store zu kaufen. Was die beste Entscheidung überhaupt war! =:):Das Malbuch kam über zwei Wochen früher, als ursprünglich angekündigt war. Die Verpackung war top und das Buch an sich auch noch ganz eng und sicher eingeschweißt, so daß gar nichts passieren konnte.Und Fantasia selbst ist eines der schönsten Malbücher für Erwachsene, daß ich bisher gesehen habe. Außerdem ist das Papier toll (schön dick), die Seiten sind einseitig bedruckt und das beste: die Spiralbindung!Ich wünschte wirklich es gäbe mehr Malbücher die entweder mit einer Spiral-, oder einer guten Fadenbindung gebunden wären. Bestimmt wäre ich nicht die Einzige, die dafür gerne den einen oder anderen Euro mehr ausgeben würde!

Excelente, el papel es muy bueno! Los anillos y las hojas fáciles de desprender lo hacen bastante cómodo para trabajar.La portada pareciera que no tiene anillos, al dar vuelta a la misma quedan visibles los mismos, solo es estética.Dibujos genialesCómpralo ! No te vas a arrepentir !

Square book 21.5cm with the Amazon matte cover printed on amazon paper and glue bound only. I thought this was the spiral bound card stock quality you see in youtube reviews and feel so cheated with this version. Images are a tiny cropped, it is single sided but the printing a little misaligned at the top too. Nicholas is an amazing artist but this version is absolutely disappointing and misleading.

Absolutely fantastic book, the drawings are superb, and the quality is exceptional, very thick pages, one sided and spiral bound, with perforations. Lots of monsters and dragons as well as beautiful ladies really pleased with this purchase. The delivery from America to Uk was very fast and well tracked.
