A good read
There's a little bit of jumping back and forth with the various key characters but it does a pretty good job of showing everyone's views during a civil war.

No Elf on the shelf
This read right here was a little more drawn out than the last two Warhammer legacy books I’ve read. However, it covers so much history and shows how Malekith basically turned Ulthuan from the power house it was into a fragmented society. Soo much Elf death.

Worth the money
I bought the book to get to know the history of elfs in warhammer universe before I start reading "Curse of Khaine" of the end times series. The book delivered. The second and third book get's a bit repetitive because some events take place during overlapping times, so one has to read pieces of same text twice. In strict sense there is absolutely nothing to complain about. You get the feeling of story of epic proportions being told, of tragedy and loss and how it moulds personae dramaticae in the book. What made witch king Malekith to what he is and so on. There were some loose ends left untied, but not truly important ones. But I suppose that is to be expected from story spanning over 40 000 words.

Catching up on my Warhammer history
If you love epic fantasy, and you really want to know about the elves in the Warhammer world, this is one book you'll enjoy. Took me weeks to get through on my lunch hours.

Long live the shadow king
Alith anars story was probably the best, the tragedies and reactions and lengths he went to for nagarythe and ulthuan, one of my favorite warhammer legends.

Great Read
I love the warhammer universe and have been reading all the books. This a great book on the division of the elves though I wish all the book was from Malketh's viewpoint.

Ottima introduzione al mondo warhammer
Un unico racconto visto dagli occhi di 4 diversi personaggi Malekith, Alith Anar, Hellebron e Imrik. Nasce qui la spaccatura tra Alti Elfi ed Elfi Oscuri.

It's okay
This collection tells the story of Maleketh, and the division of the dark elves. It takes place long before Sigmar, and features some of the earliest encounters of elves, humans, and dwarves. The story sets up for the war of vengeance collection. While interesting at times, I did not find this to be a real page turner. The story feels more like an epic, and spawns thousands of years, focusing on key moments. A thousand years can be glossed over in a page. Some will be turned off by this style, and it's similar to the style of the Dwarf Omnibus (Which I did quite enjoy, because it featured better characters). I find the most interesting villains are those we can relate to or sympathize with - but Maleketh feels uninspired - a noble with a sense of entitlement to everything. As such, I recommend this book for people interested in warhammer elves, as well as the history and lore of the warhammer setting, but not for readers with a general interest. The collection contains 5 books, and the price is a great value for what you get.

Ottima scelta
A mio parere molto interessante, sebbene il genere sia un classico fantasy ( nani, elfi, etc ).Poi mi é parso molto lungo senza peró stancare o annoiare!!

Worth it!!!
This is not 40k but Warhammer Fantasy. Well written, and gives great depth to the elves if you play Total War Warhammer.
