Appetite control
I started taking this probiotic for appetite control. I was taking once a day in the am and I didn’t notice anything. One day accidentally I also took one at night. The next day I had so much energy it was amazing. However, it was almost too much and I was too restless. It also helped the appetite control better. I didn’t notice any gut changes at all. Just for some background, I don’t have any gut issues other than occasional constipation. I am not on any specific diet. I just don’t eat out and no processed foods.

Works to reset gut biome post antibiotic use.
Product used to reset gut biome post antibiotic and it worked well. Prior to use, was experiencing uncontrollable flatulence (gas). After 21 days, embarrassing symptoms gone. Have recommended to others in my family for same type symptoms and they were also relieved.

Qualified positive response to Vitamatic Sacccharomyces boulardii and Akkermansia municiphilla
I’ve been asked to comment on two health products from this company. They seem to be working fine. Neither of us has had any problems with them. However, I can not attest to their efficacy. We did not have our gut biomes evaluated prior to using them and have not been evaluated since starting. I will continue to purchase them as I believe they have been helpful.

Caused arthritis, asthma and IBS flare for days
This did not agree with me at all. I took one because I had heard it helps with gut biome, longevity and cholesterol. I probably already have this in my gut and did not need it. From what I read after researching it this can be valuable if your gut is missing it because it helps maintain short fatty acids but you can get that by eating foods with prebiotics and a whole foods plant based diet that I am on. My apetite was suppressed because I had horrible stomach and intestinal cramping for days. I could not eat. I never had it tested for quality but as far as functionality goes it is not a good fit for me unless for some reason I need to take antibiotics and need my gut microbiome restored. At this point I avoid antibiotics and try to stay healthy without them but sometimes you do need them. I just have not taken any antibiotics since 2023 and have been on a WFPB SOS diet and mitigating health with over the counter herbs, probiotics etc. The value was a lesson learned in the function of the probiotic. There are times when it probably is not good to have too much of this. I saw a few videos on You Tube by physicians that explained the percentage thresholds and the reason why I had the reaction. That said I am scared to take any more of this. It was an awful week of unrest due to pain and discomfort.

Use with extreme caution! Too much is BAD news.
Dr Mercola touted this one highly so I gave it a go. When I felt signs of GI track discomfort I made sure to take it, empty stomach and all to help it work. BAD IDEA. Pain got significantly worse. Didn’t connect the dots and kept at it (less than a month, 1 a day). Located my copy of Super Gut by Dr Wm Davis. There on page 52 he lays out the benefits (increased mucosal growth in track) when in balance AND the opposite when it proliferates too much (it consumes your beneficial lining - seriously not good). I had quickly moved into the dangerous zone of obliterating my mucosal lining which caused more significant pain. With this new understanding, I stopped immediately. Luckily my body adjusted within a week. But some may end up in urgent care and get diagnosed with IBS or something similar when it’s not at all. I searched Mercola again and he did a follow post in 4/2025 cautioning of this issue. I missed that one. Lastly, Dr Davis says using olive oil and prebiotic fibers (fruits & veggies) will naturally stimulate Akkermansia and keep this one in check without over doing it. So no more gut roulette for me!
