nEEDED PAINTING DUE TO rust IN 1 WEEK
I bought this item it to replace an 18-year-old bench and arch of similar size. The size of all the metal bars have been downsized about 60% from the old bench and arch.I could only give it 3 stars because of the smaller bars and the fact that many of the welded joints started to rust about a week after assembly. To combat the rust we decided to paint the bench and arch with Rust oleum using a brush. This took over 4 hours of work due to the many surfaces that required painting. We used a spray primer on all the joints prior to applying the brush on coat. One problem with using a spray primer from a can is the amount of waste and over spray that occurs. That is why we decided to use a brush coat for the finished product. As far as assembly, this was very easy, and all the parts went together very quickly. They did an excellent job of machining all the holes. There were no alignment problems at all. It was actually a pleasure to see it go together so easy.We placed planter boxes on two of the horizontal bars. We were a bit worried that the bars might be to flimsy to adequate support the planter boxes. But so far everything is working out fine. See the accompanying picture.

Nice and sturdy for the price
The arch was relatively easy to assemble, but like others, I had difficulty with one piece not fitting well into another and had to use pliers to bend the offending leg to force-fit. But once that problem was solved, it was just fine. The directions were clear and all pieces (nuts and bolts) were accounted for. Overall, I’m happy with how it looks and how sturdy it seems!

Lesson Learned
It would have been easy to put together if the pieces all lined up. I had to try and hammer parts in then screws wouldn't go in... i was quite frustrated... when i finally gave up I decided to sit down with the main back screw out... figuring I'll have to just see if someone else can get it later.... I sat down to test it and rest and it just happened to line up!! I was so over enjoyed haha my fingers and hands were hurting pretty badly after though, I thanked God for actually being able to get it done without anyone's help lol I learned a lesson too, when things dont line up, just take a rest and they just might fit.

Holes in wrong spot
One side has holes in the incorrect area so unable to attach the bench to the side of arbor.. they should be in the same direction as the holes above that hold the back support of bench. Still deciding if we want to keep and drill new holes or return.Update: billed new holes to accommodate the bench and then find out the screws to attach are too short.. so now we have to purchase extra screws that will actually fit.. iyiyiyiyi

Quality control needs help!
Product arrived quickly and box was in good shape but upon trying to put the bench together, it was a total mess. Third screw wouldn’t go into the threaded hole. Tried multiple screws and it was definitely the welded on thread hole that was the problem. Finally used a re-threader and got it going. Inserting the bottom leg into the rest of the arch became a huge problem as the stems meant to slide into the bottom leg were bent slightly outwards on one side of the arch. Rubber mallet fixed that, but frustrations were rising. Finally trying to put the bench seat into place was not possible because on the back left corner (which would bear much of a sitter’s weight) the holes were completely misaligned from the bench to the arch and no amount of fudging things and unscrewing other screws would fix it. If I screwed that it first none of the other three holes would align on the bench seat. If I did any one of the other holes first then that corner is so far out of place a piece of cooked spaghetti wouldn’t be able to make it through. This then made the gap too far for the screw into the seat back from the arc to make contact with it’s assigned thread location. And on the side of the bench seat that did line up, the screw from the arch to the seat back wasn’t aligned either and couldn’t be installed. It would have been perfect for my needs but when the welded threaded holes are not where they are supposed to be then the product is useless.

Sturdy and beautiful. Needs better instructions.
Bought this to use as trellis for our Bougainvillea plants. It also helped by adding two extra seats for our patio furniture set. Assembly of the seat was somewhat difficult because the instructions were unclear about how to attach the L-shaped brackets. I had to figure it out the hard way by trial and error. Also one of the seat arms was bent and needed to be straightened. However, once assembled and set in concrete it appears quite sturdy and beautiful. It’s a nice inexpensive addition to our patio garden.

Some of the holes didn’t line up, . I followed directions so I didn’t do anything wrong.
I followed directions and hole’s didn’t line up on 3 spots, I had to bore them where they would lineup, it was aggravating and disappointing.
