Farrow and Ball: Recipes for Decorating

F&B are not kidding, when they say color, they actually mean it. The combinations are beautiful and daring just like life. I am not a fan of boring neutrals or sterile whites, and this book is perfect at showing what color can do to your soul. The colors are truly up lifting. The pictures are amazing!!!

This book is absolutely amazing. The colors are beautiful and spot on. It also shows you how to blend colors throughout each room or how to add three colors in one room. Beautiful stunning pictures. Very happy about buying it. It's my go to book. For painting, the cool part is I get to take all the credit for the combinations I put together. I love this book❤️

This book is like looking at a bunch of magazines with photos of homes and then getting all the details on what paints they used where, and why they used them. I loved it and have used the tips and color combos in my own home. Thanks for sharing all this info

This is a great book, with very good tips on using color in homes. I like that they provide full palettes for homes, eliminating the guesswork for those who are trying to cobble together one for their own. Also, kudos for pulling together the right whites for various colors, since whites come in so many shades. The palettes are upscale and sophisticated, modern and chic, but they are uniformly subdued. If I had to put it in two geographic locations, the palettes belong in the UK and New York, but falls short on expanding the use of color in any other regions. I'd like to see a F&B book on sunny mediterranean climates, or one on high deserts. Those warm pops of color, with inspirations from red rocks to blue skies with rests in between to neutrals.

The book is a delicious journey in to color and design. I would not work on a room without looking at every picture again and again for inspiration and guidance.

I am a decorator ands the National Trust colours often BUT the photographs in this book are dark, moody and sad looking. I find this book a not good representation of their colours and how they can be used. Makes me sad that i wasn't thrilled with it.

Love this book, but all about their paint so make sure you're a fan of F&B.
