You have to hold the bottom button (by the writing) for several seconds and it will turn it off. It will beep! Also, it does shut off after a couple hours. Hope this helps

I bought one but it’s thin.they mostly seem so but is this one thicker?

Personally, I find it’s a lot more comfortable than any heating pad I’ve used. It’s thicker, well padded and can conform to your body. It’s a personal preference and I really like thickness.

How do I file a warranty claim?

I have the same problem. The email address on the warranty page doesn't exist.

Cord how close is remote to the pad?

I keep mine close with a little cord tie but there’s cord space if you don’t want it close.
