I have a Canon 1D-Mark III camera and genuine Canon battery for this camera is no longer available. At least I couldn't find one. I took a chance with this Kastar LP-E4 replacement since it was so inexpensive. After fully recharging the battery it showed 88% full charge. It's good enough and everything works as expected. It shows all the battery information on my camera just like the original battery. I'm very pleased with it, especially with the price.

So I bought these batteries (3) knowing that I would likely have to return one or more based on the reviews. I was ok with this until I actually had to return one. You get the return label but you have to actually PAY for return postage. The process goes from the normal print the label, pack and drop off to having to go through the process of having a Lithium battery shipped back to the seller. The batteries themselves appear to work in my Canon !d mIV. Will not purchase again.

I received it and put it in my camera, and it showed 1 bar. I charged it in the original Canon charger overnight, put it in my camera, and it showed 4 bars (full). As far as I can tell, the battery interface is working perfectly. Unless the actual capacity turns out bad, I would say this Kastar product is great! I will revise my review if something disappoints me later.

I needed to get an extra backup battery. This is an inexpensive solution that works in my older Canon cameras (4 plus years old). Bit my newer Canon body (3 years old) will not recognize this battery.
