Encountering Christ in prayer, having a passion for Christ, and suffering for Christ were themes that touched me deeply. Father Haggerty is a wonderful teacher!

A must read for those seeking greater connection to God. Much much food for the soul from a experienced spiritual director. Loved it!

Lenten reading.

Amazing book!!! Father Haggerty provides so many insights. The book has some much wisdoms and has helped me (and continues to help me) on my journey to greater faith. The book is like a grain of mustard seed; for explain, page 49 has "When God has become real for a soul, he cannot be simply forgotten, dropped and discarded, as one might toss a finished book in a dustbin....God cannot be simply forgotten once a genuine depth of faith has awakened in a soul." I recoil every time I have forgotten my Lord because my "busy lifestyle". With the Magnificat, Conversion has become part of my daily reading and meditation. I highly recommend this book to the faithful. Thank you Father Haggerty.

I read through it once and I am reading it again. It is valuable for wherever you are on the road to intimacy with Christ.

This book put into words everything I felt during my conversion (still in progress). I suggest you get this to understand your feelings.

I write few book reviews but this gem has moved me to say a few words, especially given it is so recent, and not so well known. Virtually every page glistens with the spiritual wisdom of someone who knows and follows Christ. Others who try to follow this path will find ample validation, yes-moments of resolution, comfort and re-balance. Thank you Fr Haggerty for your wisdom.

Absolutely Brilliant. All Catholics must read. I especially recommend it to my brother Priests and all who yearn for the truth. Easily read paragraphs but they are like ‘Spiritual Hand-grenades’.
