The Orb Factory My First Sticky Mosaics Pretty Things

Ok, technically, I don't like it. But my artist in training does. And it keeps her out of my mosaic supplies - at least for an hour. There's tons of foam stickers and several sheets to complete. My only dislike is that they tell the child which colors are supposed to go where, instead of leaving it up to their imagination. It would be nice if they also sold these are just the outline/design and the stickers. Or even just the stickers alone, so the kids can make their own design. Can be a bit of a nightmare with all the millions of sticker back papers all over the floor, but it keeps them content, and the papers can be swept up.

This is the first 'organized' craft I have done with my just turned 3 year old girls. They paint, draw, play with foam stickers free form, but this is the first time I have tried a craft kit. I wasn't sure how they would do with it, but to my surprise, as soon as I explained how it works, they were off. It comes with 5 laminated style square boards with pictures on them (a bear, butterfly, bunny, etc). Then the foam stickers are on a sheet, 1 for each color. On each sheet, there are triangle, square and circle shapes. I popped those out for my girls with the backing still on them so they could pull it off themselves. Once I explained that they match the color and shape, they were off. They were able to get the colors and shapes correct, which I thought was a great skill for this age group. The picture has the shapes on it in the color you are suppose to use. There is a place on the back to write the name of the person who did the art work. Then it also comes with little stick on plastic hangers to hand them up when finished. It is a great first craft and I am so glad we tried it.

I have purchased a few of these First Mosaics & I love them. My 3 year gets bored rather quickly. I've tried a number of different craft projects with her & normally I do most of the work. This is one of the few crafts that she can (& will) work on by herself. It's somewhat educational in that she's matching colours & shapes.This might seem trivial but, the other thing I like about this craft it's one of the few crafts for a 3 year that my daughter can do with her little 17 month old sister around. I'm guessing one or two of the little stickers ended up in her mouth but at least it's not a choking hazard. My 3 year old really enjoys the Melissa & Doug button art peg game but it's too much of a hazard with a little one around.

My 5 yr old granddaughter and I had a very fun afternoon doing these mosaics. Everything about this was great. Easy to peel shape/color pieces, easy to see where each piece goes, cute mosaics to hang when done. There are no small pieces to get lost because the mosaic pieces are on a sheet of paper. OOps, there was one small problem. This comes with hangers for each picture. The hangers are heavy plastic that peel and stick to the picture. Every one of these fell off after they had been hanging for less than an hour. I just taped them back on and everything is good now! My granddaughter wants to do more, so I will be ordering other kits. (there are a lot of choices). Highly recommend for some quiet one-one time.

My four year old daughter loved these mosaics. They were such a great project to keep her attention during quite times in our house. She, quite literally, spent hours at a time completing one after another of these. If you have a 3 or 4 year old, I'd definitely recommend starting with this easier set, rather than the more difficult sticky mosaics. These teach the process, have larger stickers, and are faster to complete. After two sets, my daughter was ready for the more difficult ones. If you have a 5 year old, you'd probably be fine with either these "My First" mosaics or the more difficult ones, depending on the kid. I actually thought these would make a great birthday party activity as well, although you'd need several sets. All in all, fun and easy project that my daughter has loved.

My daughter got this in her Easter basket. She loves peeling stickers and sticking the on paper, so I thought she would love this. The Mosaic stickers come on solid color sheets and are already cut in the shape that you need. The cardboard picture shows which color and shape needs to be placed on the picture, so you just peel off the color and shape that you need and stick it on the picture. It designed very simple for little ones and the pictures are so cute. It will keep my daughter busy for 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the picture. There was no mess to clean up and the mosaic sheets have a plastic bag to put the rest of the unused stickers in until next time.

Love this activity. Utilizes pincer grasp and visual Motor. Also helps with coordination. Kids will not get bored with this and be proud when they finish project

I wanted this to be awesome and independent play for my niece but she needed help. Luckily she has an older sister who is always willing to boss her around....I mean help her so the adults didn't need to. I do give it points because once it is done - that it! Throw it away. I have found that is always a plus in the gifts I give that they are craft projects with nothing left but the craft so there isn't as much crap at my brother and sister in laws house! If it was slightly larger stickers, I think this would have been a homerun for little fingers.

Great. Bought these for my 4 year old son, they are a bit girly but he like sticky mosaics and has already done the animals and vehicles set. Would make a good party gift too. Would recommend

I bought this for my 4 year old daughter and she really enjoys doing it. She can do it on her own and is really proud of herself when she finishes each of the mosaics. They make an ideal gift for birthdays or Christmas and I shall be buying more for her in the future.

Purchased as gift, recipient pleased, we have had similar and the children enjoyed making them

One of the coloured mosaic sheet was missing. Frustrating as had bought to take on holiday for the plane. Disappointing.

My three year old enjoys these and she is able to do herself If I need to do something.
