Jack's Magic The Pink Stuff - Metal Solution - 1 QT

I would give this a million stars if I could. I filled up our pool and added shock to get started. We have well water and it instantly turned from clear to green. I researched for hours and decided to try Jacks pink stuff. I let the chlorine run low ( I read that chlorine makes metal sequesterant less effective) and then added the whole bottle and turned the filter on. In less than 24 hours my pool was clear and has stayed that way. As soon as it was clear I added chlorine again with no issues. This stuff is amazing.

Jacks Magic is only product I found to remove stains on pool steps. I've been told there is too much iron in our water, but the pink stuff truly works like magic! I highly recommend it. It was a game changer for us, I now enjoy taking care of the pool again.

This is the best sequestering product I have ever used for Iron Stains in my pool. I have never had it turn my pool cloudy like some of the other products I've used

I have high iron content in my water. This product keeps the iron suspended until Borax is added, and then it totally fails. So if you never add any Borax, then this product will probably work for you. Also note that you need an additional special testing kit to maintain proper levels and iron suspension after the initial pool startup.

Called the local pool service company to take care of the iron staining in a plaster pool. They show up with The Pink Stuff. Works as advertised, stains gone within the hour.

Upon de-winterizing the pool, found a generalized yellow/brownish discoloration in the pool finish. Knowing it was not algae infestation, iron staining was the most logical answer. Used product as prescribed but it did not work at all. Eventually, had to hire a pool service company to perform acid wash and that resolved the problem. Before buying this product or any other similar product for pool stains, make sure to do a spot acid wash.

I have a fiberglass pool and this works great on stains.

I have a fiberglass pool and have well water. My iron content is very high and I suffer with red stains. This product works okay to remove and prevent some of the stains.
