I've never written a love song to a trashcan, but I am doing so now. It's a trashcan, but it looks good, it works great, the size is perfect,* and it's priced right. Here are the deets: I've had it for a few months now and it's like it's always been here, not because it looks like it's old, but because it's very neutral in its design and fits right in. I love the open top design. That means the top will stay open if I set it up that way, and it will close after use if I set it up that way. And remember, it's a trashcan, so setting it up is pretty easy. *Here's what I meant about the size getting a star. When the top is set to stay open, the top is vertical, leaving the opening fully accessible. But, it turns from a medium height can to a tallish one, and it still fits under the overhang in the kitchen island. When I need it close, I simply drag it over, and when I'm done, I move it back to its resting place under the island overhang. And the price is right. And, it's easy to find liner bags for it cause it's a standard size. It's just about perfect. No faults, from my perspective.

Love the color. Not heavy at all. Easy to use. Structurally looks and feels very solid. Should last a long time. Love that it came with complimentary trash bags. Each bag even has the part number if you want to purchase the exact ones later on.

In spite of a warning message on the product's webpage about this being a frequently returned item, I decided to take the plunge and order it due to the many positive reviews. It's also fairly unique in it's size and color options, so it fits nicely in our bathroom. The trash can came in a nice beige color and looks very sleek. It's fairly easy to insert a trash bag (15 come with it) and it uses a standard size that is easy to obtain at local stores. It is difficult to completely keep the bag from peeking out of the can near the top (which is why I didn't give it five stars), but you can mostly conceal it. The edges of the bag at the top can make it look less elegant, so it's important to hide it and it can be done with enough care. Perhaps I'll get better at doing that over time. The lid opens quickly and closes slowly, as you want it to do. It keeps the smells inside the can until you remove the bag, which you want to do quickly due to odors from what was disposed of in the can. So, I'm very happy with my purchase and I don't really understand why it would be an often returned item. Perhaps because it gets damaged in shipping, which didn't happen in my case.

I appreciate the size as it doesn't crowd my kitchen. But also, that the flap lifts so when you put in a new bag, the lack of suction allows the bag to fill the space. My can came undented and in perfect condition. One note - there are some screws or something on the inside that can snag the bag - I put some tape over them and it's a non issue. I use regular 13 gallon kitchen bags and they fit fine.

Very sturdy trash cans, work well too.

This garbage can helps control odors SO MUCH. I'm using it specifically for my rabbit area, and I throw all their used litter into here. Rabbit litter smells like a literal zoo, if you didn't know, and a few minutes after closing the lid on this thing (and the lingered scent dissipates from the air) you can no longer smell it. The size of the can works well with standard 13 gallon kitchen garbage bags. I've attached a video showing how easy it is to put in a new bag (and it's even easier removing it, of course). It does come with some bags, but the drawstrings have a tendency to rip right off just FYI. The lid will stay open if you pull it back far enough, which is really nice for when I'm cleaning out the litter and don't have to keep reopening it. The soft close works perfectly and the lid never makes noise when closing. The pedal works great and it's also easy to open the lid by hand when necessary. The only thing I don't love is that there's a recessed space where the soft close mechanism is (photo attached, it's circled in blue) and this has a tendency to hold small pieces of refuse that can be hard to remove. But that's really the only "problem" I have with this, and it's a pretty small issue, so I'm still really happy with it and would recommend it!

I am not sure why the trash can had so many bad reviews. For a trash can it is very stylish and not a huge monstrosity! It is slightly smaller which is what I needed and looks great in my space. It functions as advertised.
