I read every review of this cassette player before purchasing and the one thing I wanted to know most was, does it sound right? No slow down or speed problems? I wanted to know is it a cheap hunk of plastic? The only negative points I saw in reviews was for copying cassettes to the computer, which is a great feature, but not what I was looking for.What we have here is a quality, heavy duty cassette player that sounds great (it depends on the quality of your tapes more than anything). The included headphones are comfortable and have nice sound quality.I love the clear plastic and watching the moving parts while listening to tapes. It’s fun to see what tapes in there too. Auto-reverse works great but you can also turn it off.I would recommend this over all other lower priced cassette players I’ve looked through and owned in the past. If you want something fancier it’s going to be $100+ but this right here fits all the needs of anyone looking for a portable cassette player today.Also it’s so cool it’s clear!

Rewriting my review again..not sure if the previous review was posted.I had initially received this player and it didn't perform well. Laggy. Would get stuck. Sound was poor and distorted. Would not play some tapes at all (brand new or old), kept dragging. Basically, was not usable.I assumed, maybe, I had received a messed up unit. Sent it back and was sent a replacement, fairly quickly, which was nice. The seller also offered to refund my money, if I wanted, which was appreciated.I have been using the replacement player for about an hour now..trying different tapes..and this one seems to work fine/much better. I'm not having most of the issues I experienced from the previous unit .For around $30 it's a solid little cassette player. Cant speak on the mp3 aspect, as I've not tried it ..bought the unit to listen to my old cassette collection.I like that it's compact in size..while still having some weight to it. I like the transparent look. Seems to play quite well for the most part.I will say, I have reservations about long term usage...it does feel a bit cheaper in it's build, in comparison to some slightly more expensive players I have from the 80s.Hopefully I can get some good usage out of it. Every now and again it will drag a bit upon listening..but seems to correct itself quickly.The battery compartment cover, I'm not a huge fan of. It's not the easiest thing to take on and off..and feels quite fragile like it's going to break easily at some point..so be careful, as not to break it.But, granted, though very little usage thus far, seems like a good cassette player for the price. Gets the job done. And it comes with some accessories like a bag and headphones, which is a bonus.

This is a wonderful way to play your old tapes or new ones. It feels great in your hand and slips easily into a pocket or fanny pack allowing you to listen to wonderful music while doing housework or power walking. I like the clear case and the automatic playing of both sides of the tape.
