You can't go wrong with HP accessories
I realize that buying authentic HP cartridges costs more than purchasing knock-offs, but in all the years I have had HP printers I have never experienced any problems with their cartridges. Since I run a business, that alone is worth any extra cost. This extra capacity 55X gives me over 12,000 pages, and since it costs less money than buying two of the 6,000 page cartridges, it becomes a pretty good deal. Ink quality is crisp, there are no jams, and it enables the printer to work as it needs to.

AWESOME
The price beats buying it at a office supply store

Defective or Scammy but replaced by HP
Update: The cartridge works just fine, the sensing mechanism that tells you how many pages you have is completely FUBAR. I am getting slightly more than the specified 12,500 printed pages. But you cannot rely on the little dialogue box to accurately report the number of pages remaining. When a cartridge is newly installed it tells you there are only 125 pages remaining. After printing a few thousand pages it suddenly begins telling you that the cartridge is full. The indicator reports completely full cartridge until your cartridge is almost empty then suddenly starts reporting that you have less than 1000 pages remaining. You then have to print a supplies status page to find out that your output is in line with the expected output. I am increasing the star rating but still docking one star for the associated aggravation and grief.I installed this cartridge last night and noticed that the supplies detail dialogue box didn't reflect full capacity. I thought maybe it just needed some time to reset. When it still reflected I didn't have a full toner cartridge the next morning I became concerned and called HP figuring I needed to do some sort of resetting procedure. They had me fax in my purchase invoice and supplies status page which showed 150 pages used and less than 50 pages remaining on a cartridge that is supposed to yield 12000 pages. After being on hold for about 10 minutes they came back and told me they were overnighting a new cartridge to me.Hp suggested that maybe I had been sold a used cartridge. When I looked carefully at the box I noticed that the pull tab on the box had been taped over. I have been buying HP cartridges for 20 years and I don't ever recall the pull tab on the box ever being taped over so I am now officially suspicious of this seller "DeluxeDeals".I am still quite impressed with HP (see my review of the HP Laserjet 3015 printer) HP LaserJet P3015dn Printer - Black/Silver (CE528A#ABA) but this scammy cartridge deal has me quite suspicious of buying my replacement cartridges from anyone except HP.I think I have now figured out how Amazon is able to sell these cartridges at such great prices. ;+)I hope Amazon and HP are able to get together and clean up their supply channel.

High Yield is the way to go with these toners. And don't even waste your time with the off brand ones or the recycled ones.
High Yield is the way to go with these toners. And don't even waste your time with the off brand ones or the recycled ones. They just do not work as well as the OEM toners. I run a training company and we print out our own manuals on a weekly basis. We tried several that were less expensive, but the OEM ones, even though a little bit more money, pay for themselves in the end. They actually end up cheaper!

Huge capacity and pre-paid return for recycling
HP toner works in HP printers. I don't think it's worth messing around with 3rd party toner or refills. (Your mileage may vary.....)I was particularly pleased to note that the toner comes with a provision to return the empty cartridge in the box, shipping pre-paid, for recycling. Of course that means I'll have to keep the box around for the 9 years it will take for me to use up the cartridge, but that's a minor inconvenience.

Consistently Good
It goes w/o exception that O.E. toners work best. Hands down! gave up on "cheap" versions a few years ago and won't ever again.
