I purchased these little outside motion detectors for my travel trailer that I now live in. I did not realize that they were not rainproof, but they’re so tiny and perfect for my front door and my side door so I stuck them on the inside of my front and side door in case someone comes in it picks up your body heat and immediately starts ringing like a loud doorbell. Perfect love it would buy it again. Recommend it to anyone.

We ordered this to have one at the front door and one at the back door so we’d know when the cat wanted in. Set the front door sound different than the back so we know which door she’s at. Volume is adjustable. Works perfectly, except the back door one gets direct sunlight in the afternoon and if the wind creates a shadow, it triggers the alarm. For that hour in the afternoon, I pull that sensor off or turn the eye to a different angle and then put it back once the sun sinks a little. The instructions say to keep them dry so I put them under cover, but our power washer contractor wet them down badly and they never had a problem. Great product. Very easy to install and set up. They stick on and they haven’t lost their stickiness after 7 months and a power washing. Setup is as difficult as cycling through 50 ringtones and picking one out for each of the two sensors.

This was bought to see if it would work as a cat doorbell. It does fairly well with some reservations. I mounted it in the center of the outside top portion of the door frame, pointing downwards. When the cat is outside and approaches within 2 feet the door, the selected tune plays on the inside receiver, announcing her desire to be let in. This is accomplished about 65 percent of the time. Other times the receiver will fail to alert her presence or she will not be in the vicinity at all. If she sits on the stoop with no desire to come in but turns her head quickly it might set off the receiver. The sensor’s case is plastic and is not meant for outside use and the surface it is mounted onis metal (aluminum) which is not recommended. Ignoring both of these warnings of the instructions may contribute to the sensor’s lapses. The present winter weather will test the durability of the device. So far it has twice saved the cat from a cold night outside., which was the purpose in buying it. I believe this experiment has so far proved the concept and it is up to this or another company to provide a more competent device for this purpose.

I bought this to tip me off when the dogs are going after the cats food. When they enter the cats den, the sensor detects them and makes a door bell alert sound. Now when the dogs hear the alerts, they automatically turn around because they know there busted. The alarm alerts tones can be changed, as well as the volume of the alerts. The motion sensors are very small but highly effective. When it first arrived I thought it was a bit cheap. However, after two weeks of use, I love how well this works.

I had high hopes for these components. I was looking for something to detect motion near doors as part of a "doorbell/alarm" system. These had seemed promising. The black sensors are small, which would allow them to be unobtrusive and therefore somewhat concealed. Certainly my experience with other products such as motion sensing solar floodlight has shown that a motion detector element can be very reliable and effective even if physically very small.But, this "Mini Size - Motion Detector Alarm Chime" is a solid FAIL.At first it seemed to work well. Movement would trigger the chime. But quite soon it became increasingly unreliable. It only occasionally detected motion. most of the time it seemed you had to physically touch the device to get it to set off the chime/alarm.Sometimes, the blue light within the sensor would flash indicating it had detected movement, but this would not trigger the chime. Other times, even movement quite close to the sensor would not even spark the blue indicator, much less sound the chime.Although I did consider that the "button batteries" within the device had become exhausted (after only a day??!!) But clearly there is either a fault in the internal programming, or poor device quality control in the manufacture.Don't buy these unless you are content with a device that only occasionally works correctly!So, my own search for a reliable device must continue!

I bought this for my office and it works great, sometimes a little too well because it keeps going off whenever someone is nearby. The battery is currently dying after about a month of heavy usage
