I got these in 11/21 and just really used during the recent wind/fire/power outtages in Jan of '25. I was shocked that the batteries were still good (still wrapped, not inside the lantern.) These little things are powerful, and I love that you can adjust how much light you really get just by raising or lowering the top. They lit up the darkness better than anything else we had, which massively decreased anxiety. Highly recommend these for camping, keeping in your car, and anywhere where the power may be lost at any time.

Got these after friends 'gushed' over my other brand, more expensive lantern, and came across these same size, same features yet at a great value for set of 4! Gave as gifts, saved money and made friends absolutely thrilled. You'll love the romantic flickering flame and as a very bright emergency LED in non-flame mode for practical usage. It is very compact and lightweight, easy to carry in your bag and come with batteries all set to use. I keep mine in flame mode outdoors on table at favorite bar/restaurant adding ambiance, and a 'psychological' feeling of warmth! Wish they made one that does emits a little heat given COVID-19 rules of dining outside chilly evenings. I highly recommend as a win-win purchase.

I didn't have very high expectations for the price, but these little gems are easy to use, really bright, lightweight, and include a set of 3 AAs for each lantern. The flame feature is really great for providing some light without attracting insects, too, and doesn't spoil night vision as badly. I bought two more sets after using the first set a few times. Not sure how long they last, but I'm perfectly satisfied with my purchase thus far!

I've misplaced my stash of hurricane lanterns and these seemed a good replacement for a very reasonable price. Some observations:1) Much larger than I thought - definitely not for backpacking. I'm sure the size was listed somewhere but I lost a similar one that was practically pocket-size and just assumed 🙄. These are about the diameter of a soda can and maybe 2/3 or 4/5 as tall.2) 300 lumen is plenty bright for most uses; not sure I would want more. It will be fine hanging overhead but sitting it on a table to read would be too bright for me without something to diffuse the light. I'm experimenting, but a quick solution is to fold over the bubble wrap each one is packed in and rubber-band it around the open portion. Opening it less helps s little but you're still stuck at many angles with a very bright light (I'm very light sensitive, though.)3) Very stiff sliding up and down. First third easy enough but then it gets really stiff. Since I'm giving one to my 91 year old mother I needed to solve this so I did the same thing I do with her wooden doors: soaped the lens with a DRY BAR of soap. Helped a lot! Not sure she'll be able to open it the whole way, but she should be able to make good use if it.

Being a resort chef you deal with many issues. One day a bear might wander into your kitchen, another day a bison is blocking the door and you can't get out. These aren't too frequent but one thing that is frequent is power outages. I purchased my first set of these to light the kitchen as needed and with the pseudo-flame option these make a great emergency mood lighting during blackouts. The regular lights keep the kitchen lit and the flame lights keep the dining room a happy place also. I plan on purchasing more of these for my home and business. It is a great price for the peace of mind they give

We needed lanterns anyway for power outages, and when I saw these, took a chance. They are fantastic for Halloween decorating. We have a large, plastic jack-o-lantern and I put two of these inside of it and they look like fire, much brighter than the small bulb that came with the decoration.We have a large bay window and have used others to give the appearance of flaming decorations. I do wish they had an option to be both battery operated as well as have an AC adapter to allow them to run off of electricity, but they are still great as they are. Highly recommend!!

Excellent lamps for the price! I bought these for Halloween to use for decoration & lighting. The flame looks very cool & helped set the mood I was going for. And the white light worked perfectly to keep by our step so the kiddos didn't trip on it. I loved that I could adjust the brightness to whatever I wanted so it didn't overwhelm the other lighting I had & the batteries lasted all night (5-6hrs). Now I keep them in the house for emergency lighting. Exactly what I was looking for!

We could not love these more! We use them for camping, power outages, and nighttime nature walks. It’s so easy to switch from light mode to fire mode which is great for different moods and environments. We even buy these for gifts now!
