Possibly best book on the subject that I own.
My name is Peter I am 21 year old Polish American with a obsession with the eastern front of ww2 and ww2 in particular, I’ve read this once and I’m reading it again due to the nature of its author.Marhsal of the Soviet Union/ deputy sumpteme commander of the red army and one of my hero’s Georgy Konstanin Zhukov, is responsible for EVERY major Soviet victory of the war which makes him one of the best of the best general in that entire war. Now back to the book, th book itself can be hard to read at times since Zhukov goes over every last detail but to any ww2 nut like myself( you have to be one in order to want this) that is fine, this book is unique as it is about the bloodiest war in human history from the man who won it. This book don’t just history Zhukov talks about how he felt and a what he thought which helps understand the man better, this being ww2 Stalin is also mentioned in the book many many times and it is interesting to read what Zhukov has to say about Stalin, Zhukov also shares his thoughts about Eisenhower, the Warsaw Uprising in 1944, the holocaust, and Hitler among other things. Overall this book is great if you really really love ww2 don’t buy it unless you’re obsessed with it.
