Cocoweb 22" LED Grand Piano Light in Black with Brass Accents with Dimmer Clip

This lamp is stunning and beautifully compliments our new ebonized baby grand. The unit is thoughtfully designed, sleek and simple; the brass accents are right on. Lighting is excellent; you can control intensity and separately direct the two lights to the keyboard and music panel. We bought the plug-in model. The unit is easy to assemble and fits perfectly on the panel. The attachment is felted with adjustable width for a firm fit. The dimmer can be attached to the thicker light wand with the rubber holder that is included (directions for this were not provided), safely securing the small dimmer accessory away from the working parts of the piano.

I am thrilled that it’s wide enough to light up the entire music rack. It sleek a slim, therefore doesn’t distract from the beautiful instrument (baby grand), yet very attractive!The con is that I thought it was terribly expensive!

I ordered a similar looking piano light half a year ago and was immediately disappointed by the harsh quality of the light. This light is easy to assemble, is of good quality and feels sturdy, and casts a pleasant light across the entire open score, which you can adjust easily to brighter or dimmer illumination.If there is one thing I would wish to be more elegant, it would be the adjustable light dimmer, which hangs loosely behind the music stand. It's easy enough to adjust the light, but not from sitting position, and though not seen from the front, from other angles, looks a little bit sloppy. Otherwise, I'm very pleased with this light.

The light is beautiful. But the instructions are minimal. They should, but do not, direct you to consult the video on the Cocoweb website. My husband kindly assembled it for me while I was out of town, and when I started using it I was frustrated by the fact that the lights were shining too much on my eyes, not enough at the top of the page. So I asked him if there was some further adjustment. It turned out he had installed it backwards and needed to re-assemble it so that the switch was on the right, not on the left. Now it shines on the page rather than in my eyes! Dinged it one star for problematic instructions.

Some assembly is required, and there was a bit of trial and error, but it only took a few minutes and I’m very happy with the results.

I previously had a small rechargeable light clipped to my grand and it worked fine. But I just got a new grand and bought this light as I am now playing for hours. This light is so classy looking and the extended length lights up all of my music on the stand and also the keyboard. I very highly recommend this elegant light!

UPDATE: Contacted customer service. They didn't reply to my request, but the missing piece did show up in my mailbox about a week after submitting it. Upgrading from 1 star to 3 stars.I'm sure this is a fine lamp...ordered it for the organist at our church...but it's supposed to come with a clip for the dimmer switch to attach it to the mount. That was not included in the box. If Cocoweb wants to send me that piece, I'll change my review...but for a $200 lamp, missing pieces is unacceptable.

It's very nice looking, but doesn't really work for me. It feels like a quality construction. The support arms adjust up and down and swivel side to side. The height adjustment is somewhat limited because one the arms gets wider at the bottom to accommodate the power hookup. The limited height adjustment and the fact my sheet music rest isn't tall means the light blocks my view of the top of the sheet music. The bars are held "tight" by a clamp on the back, but all contact between the two is smooth, so tightening the clamp as much as I can still allows the bars to swivel when lightly bumped, or just putting a bit too much pressure when turning the light on and off. The dimmer just kinda clamps onto the back on one of the bars, making it not very accessible to reach. The short cord on it limits where you can place it. The light shades swivel to direct the light, but I can't swivel them enough to illuminate the top of the sheet music. Probably because the light can't be adjusted higher. I hope the LEDs last, because I don't think they can be replaced. When I do need to replace it I won't be going with this company again. Highly recommend looking elsewhere for a light, especially at this price point.
