The product was as advertised, it does not have a ticking noise and came exactly like the image shown.I, myself, am an incredibly deep sleeper and the 'vintage' style alarm clock is the only one that can wake me up in time for work as I work nights and sleep through the day.I really like the modern feel to it, with the older style bells on top.The product is well designed, everything is tightly secured so no wiggling and not easy to damage.The noise isn't as loud as a full metal one which I had previously owned, but it still helps me to wake up compared to a phone alarm.

The product is great, very loud, basic & easy to use, nicely looking. WILL wake you up, but also might scare you in the morning - it is sooo sudden & loud. This thing made me jump out of bed, I had to take a deep breath and stop my heart from racing so fast... A good alarm clock for a heavy sleeper. Just make sure to put it further away from your ears.

Nice loud alarm. Clear face, easy to view. Rather a large item, so not suitable as holiday luggage.

For the price i was shocked! Well built, stylish, LOUD, accurate (easy to set alarms at half past the hour with very little play in the hand), and the smooth travel of the second hand is a nice touch! My only very small complaint would be that the illumination is a bit dim, but this is being very very picky, and it is still completely usable. Thank you!

Not pleased, set the alarm for 5am yet you can't quite work out where the alarm hand is pointing as it's too short. First few nights it worked. But the 3rd night it rang at 23.40pm and woke me up. Checked the alarm hand to see if it moved which it didn't was still set to 5am. So have no idea why it went off at 11.40pm. Its clearly faulty. It isn't great quality. Can tell its made from the cheapest materials. My suggestion would be spend a bit more for better quality and reliability or your be woken up at random times in the night. I haven't used it since. Don't trust it.

I have arthritis in my fingers. I have tried all sorts of modern alarm clocks, they have tiny numbers, tiny knobs to set complicated functions, when plugged in if the internet drops out don't work at all. 0nce about two weeks ago I had three different alarms set and none of them worked. In desperation i searched online for an old-fashioned windup alarm clock. I found the jiemei 4" Alarm Clock on Amazon, just needed one battery, it is light, sturdy, easy to read, so very easy to set, a very modest price, and reliably wakes me up in the morning. I am going to recommend it to Versus Arthritis organisation, it is ideal for us arthritics.

This is a great alarm clock let down by the fact that it failed after just 5 months. It’s accurate, legible, easy to use, silent and old fashioned. The only way it isn’t old fashioned is in reliability. I remember when the things you bought were guaranteed for a year, so It’s disappointing when the items you buy fail so soon. If it was still working I’d have given it 5*, but can not recommend it given my experience.

It is quite large with a matte finish. The white numerals are easy to read even from the other side of the bed for a short sighted person. The second hand has a smooth sweep rather than a tick. I bought this for my other half and he was hugely enthusiastic about it. He thought it was so stylish. The ring is loud and jarring, but as a rule we don't use it this way, to save on batteries. We use mobile phones as alarms, but want a clock to view in the bedroom.
