I am quite pleased with the safe. Remember it is not Ft. Knox nor is it a vault. It is a place to deter easy access to private papers or to keep your kids away from things they maybe shouldn't have access to. The door of the safe is quite substantial. The outer walls of the box are pretty thin. I don't think it would take too much to saw through it. I screwed it down to the floor and to the back wall. It sits in a little alcove and is nice and secure in it's little home. It came with a fireproof pouch and the anchors. The instruction book has TINY print. But there is a manual online and I went there and printed out a .pdf copy. From there I printed out a full sized 8/11" page that I could easily see. I also made a cheat sheet of sorts with just the steps needed to change the access codes. The verbiage makes it too much to read and follow while programming the safe. It took me more than the allotted 8 seconds to read the instructions, do what was necessary for step 1, then find the place for step 2 on the instructions and so forth. Just make an outline, or underline the steps and you won't run out of time. Also, I put my safe at eye level in the basement which made it difficult for me to see how to install the batteries. So word to the wise, take a look at where the positives and negatives go in the battery compartment before you install the safe if you are putting the top of the safe above eye level. It required 4 AA batteries, not included.The inside of the safe is nicely covered with a grey felt like material. Before you screw it down, figure out which holes you will be using and poke a screw or nail through. from outside to inside so you can locate the holes for the screws. The material is too thick to really feel the pre drilled holes in the safe floor and back of the box. In my opinion, the safe was very well packaged in very thick cardboard. The corners of the safe were protected by a metal corner plate. The needed keys were hung on the outside of the safe, and once opened, the safe revealed the additional fasteners and the fireproof bag, etc. I added a wide washer under the head of the screw I used to secure the safe. It adds a bit of heft to the safe wall and makes it more difficult to wrest the safe from the wall or floor.I don't think this safe would stop a determined burglar, who had the time and the tools, from accessing the contents of the safe. But as a deterrent for a quick robbery or to prevent the kids from accessing things they shouldn't, it more than meets the need. I was lucky to catch a coupon on Amazon and as a result paid less for the safe there than was being asked on the manufacturer's website. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

I Love this safe !!! It’s the Perfect size for what I need. Very thick steel and it makes me feel protected. Well worth the money I spent .
