Originally I was shopping for new non-zippered body pillow covers . When I saw the prices to be $15 or more, I wondered why I would spend that much money on our tired old flat body pillows that were probably bought at Target 20+ years ago. Then I saw these highly rated shredded foam bamboo pillows on Amazon and initially balked at the price of $70. Being mostly a side sleeper, I thought why skimp on comfort, so I decided to order both the Snuggle-Pedic Ultra-Luxury Bamboo Shredded Memory Foam Full Size Body Pillow with Kool-Flow and another top-rated USA manufactured pillow. Both offer long satisfaction-guaranteed trial periods,100% made in USA, and high-quality materials. The pillow came folded in half and vacuum packed in plastic. As per instructions received by email and printed copy in the package, I carefully cut and removed the plastic wrap. The pillow began to expand almost fully on its own. I placed the pillow in the dryer to ensure full expansion. Yes, there was a distinct odor from the foam. I chose to put the pillow in the dryer on low heat with a dryer sheet for a while longer. The odor has lessened and is now barely noticeable a week later. The non-zippered bamboo cover is soft, textured, and cool. The texture is almost waffle-like and can be felt when you run your hand over it even when using a pillowcase. The pillow, as received, is firmer than the competitor. There is no zipper to self-customize the firmness level. The pillow can be mailed to the company free of charge to be customized. This may be inconvenient for me due to my indecisiveness. Although I knew the firmness level could be changed, between the textured cover and firmness, I expected to like this pillow less than the competitor’s pillow. I also purchased the quality Snuggle-Pedic Zipper Removable Body Pillow Cover Kool-Flow Luxurious Bamboo Material. The cover is the same fabric and size as the pillow cover and is still breathable and cool even with a pillowcase. I like to protect the pillow to help avoid or minimize the need to launder the pillow. Since the pillow cover is non-zippered and sewn shut this pillow most likely can be laundered without the filling escaping although drying thoroughly may take quite a while. Customer service for this small business is exceptional. I received emails about product care both before and after receiving my pillow. They also emailed me a few days after receiving my pillow to offer me a complimentary pillow cover of my choice. They offered to cancel my order of the zippered cover but I chose to have both so I will receive Snuggle-Pedic Organic Cotton Body Pillow Case Kool-Flow Breathable Stretch Knit Fabric (Body) to try. This offer had no bearing on my decision. There is a 20-year warranty on the pillow which is nice but I doubt will never need. The choice was difficult as both pillows are very comfortable. To my surprise, I found the firmness of the Snuggle-Pedic to actually work for me. I have less shoulder and hip discomfort since my free shoulder and leg are well supported when laying on my side. As far as the cover texture, I do not even notice it when using the pillow. I’m only six nights in to my 120-night trial, so I can still change my mind about returning it or sending it in to customize. I highly doubt I will be returning it. I never realized how bad our old body pillows were and how good a body pillow can be.

I have been a body pillow user for years and decided to try something of higher quality. This pillow is higher quality. I find it to be very comfortable, and it does not lose its shape like my polyfiber-filled body pillows do. Upon unpacking the pillow, it remained fairly flat and compressed. After about 20 minutes, as per instructions, I put the pillow in the drier for 20 minutes on high heat. The pillow came out of the dryer fully expanded. Being full of shredded memory foam, it came out a little lumpy in one or two places where the foam had gathered. Simply making little adjustments by pressing here and there on the pillow set things aright. The pillow is quite heavy relative to other pillows. My previous fiber filled body pillow weighs 3.6 pounds. This Snuggle pillow, the same size as my fiber filled pillow, comes in at a whopping 7.8 pounds; over twice the weight of a "normal" body pillow. I recently bought two My Pillows for a queen sized guest bed. The two My Pillows laid end-to-end are the same size as the body pillows. Those two pillows together weigh only 3.2 pounds; virtual feathers compared to the Snuggle Pedic pillow. This is solely due to the higher quality of the denser foam used in the Snuggle Pedic pillow, which I consider to be a good thing. The Snuggle pillow feels like memory foam; the My Pillow feels like chunks of regular old foam material. The weight tells the story. I do not mind the heavier weight of the Snuggle pillow; I find that I can move it without a problem when changing body position in the night. Though, it may be a problem for some. This pillow is about 1.5" inches longer than the stated 54". It was a bit of a tighter fit for the pillow cases than were my fiber filled pillows. One might wish to consider buying a body pillow case with either a fold-over flap closure or a hidden zipper. This big pillow will likely stick out a bit from a regular 54" open-ended case. This pillow suits my needs; I am in no way disappointed with it. If you like a big, fluffy, comfortable pillow and you can handle the weight, you should be pleased with the Snuggle-Pedic. Highly recommended .

After years of neck/back pain, I finally consulted a chiropractor and physical therapist, and between them and this body pillow, I'm almost completely pain-free. The physical therapist was the one who showed me how my sleeping position was likely contributing to the pain, and when you're right, you're right. This pillow was a real savior in that regard. The foam is fantastically-smooshy (aww give me that word) and comfortable, it has great loft, and doesn't crush as easily as down, nor does it clump like polyester fill. I don't find I have to shake to redistribute the foam more than a couple of times each week. What's more, it doesn't appear to add to my already-inferno levels of sleeping heat, either. I noticed an improvement in my neck pain from the first night, and that's plenty of incentive to wrestle with this giant thing every night. Which is where the "minus one star" comes in: This is a heavy, large pillow, and I mean heavy. I'm still figuring out how to grapple this pillow from one side to the other without 1) waking my husband up, 2) waking up myself so much that I can't go back to sleep, or 3) dragging the sheets off the bed. It's a struggle. I can't say if that's a feature of all body pillows or just this one. So I'll just deduct one star for how enormously heavy this pillow is, and consider it a trade-off for losing the neck pain without igniting in my sleep.

This is the most AMAZING body pillow in the entire world! I am a very sedentary person due to my job and this causes unbelievable back pain. Although my bed is quite amazing, I still have a hard time sleeping without shoving at least two pillows between my legs and usually at least one I can rest my arm over. Not only does this body pillow eliminate the need for those other three pillows I was using, but it is so much more comfortable and convenient. I no longer spend half of my night wrangling all these pillows because my new body pillow is fluffier and it stays in one place for me all night long! I should also mention that I am 6'4 and a heavy guy so any pillow that a guy like me finds to be a great size and comfortable is saying A LOT! Do not be scared when this small box shows up at your door. I will admit, I sure was at first. When I pulled it out of the box it was tightly wrapped and looked smaller than a standard size pillow. Once I got that plastic off, this pillow expanded to WAY bigger than I even expected. If you happen to be a little impatient like me and you want to try your pillow out as soon as you get it. Just pop in the dryer on fluff for a few minutes and you are good to go! If you have the time, just set it on your bed and it will fill out on it's own. Again, I am so unbelievably happy with this purchase. I am finally sleeping like a baby and my back feels so much better every day. Buying this pillow was definitely one of the best decisions that I have ever made for my well being. If all of their products are this good, I will definitely be a customer for life!

My love for this body pillow needed time to grow and now I can’t see sleeping without it. I have neck pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, ankle pain, you-name-it pain! While it isn’t magic, this body pillow has done a lot to help me sleep through the night and wake up much less achy than I normally would. As I said, it took me a little time to decide if this pillow was the one for me. It is both soft and supportive. The less yield their shredded memory foam has as opposed to regular fluff in a pillow was what I had to adjust to because it is very different from the traditional fill pillow I’d been using. But I knew I needed more support so I kept trying it. I also wanted to decide if the amount of filling was to my liking. And this is one of the BEST PARTS of this company! They will allow you to ship your pillow to them (Snuggle-Pedic. Not Amazon) and have the filling adjusted to your liking FOR FREE! After I had ordered my pillow they immediately got in touch with me to let me know of this service, give me some great pointers on how to care for it right out of the box, and to overall make sure I was happy with everything. I decided I didn’t need any adjustments but am happy to know it’s an option. Another deciding factor going into my order is that the work they are doing to make products in a way that is ethical and kinder to the environment. And as for memory foam goes, it truly doesn’t have a harsh gas off period like so many. I’m particularly sensitive to these things and wasn’t bothered. Very slight odor for several days but I imagine many people may not even notice it. I was quite impressed. Last few comments here: I love that I can bend it around a bit to adjust to my body as a side sleeper. Only drawback is it is fairly heavy so you won’t be bringing it with you easily if you turn over in the night. I knew that going in so it’s no big deal to me. Oh and for coolness- relative to other similar types of filling (or even my old traditional type) it’s a bit cooler. Does it stay super cool all night? Of course not. Everything on the market is going to be affected by having a body wrapped around it. Again, this one does manage to not get overly hot PLUS it doesn’t seem to hold on to heat much at all. Really nice aspect to it. Ok here’s the TL;DR Body pillow is adjustable in many ways (including by the company, Snuggle-Pedic, at no charge). May take a little getting used to but it’s worth it. Very low odor that dissipates quickly. Absolutely has helped with my sleep and pain. Great company and customer service!

I bought this to replace the same body pillow I’ve had for three years since it’s finally deflated to the point that I can no longer fluff it and keep it inflated. I’m a big fan of this brand until now. This new body pillow is nothing like what I owned. It’s easily flattened and doesn’t hold its shape no matter how much I fluff it even after letting it decompress. The quality three years ago was 10x better. Originally the pillow was a super thick and heavy memory foam that took months to stop being super fluffed (which was great in my opinion). This new pillow’s thickness is no better than my old one on a “good” day which is to say it’s easily flattened and doesn’t hold its shape with any weight on it. What’s the point in that when it’s literally advertised to support your hips, back and legs? I don’t know what happened to the quality but for the price I paid and what I know it could be I’m so frustrated especially because I’m a disabled chronic pain sufferer with severe hip/back/neck issues and hypermobility and I depend on this for quality sleep and pain relief. Now I have to hunt for what I had and hope I can find it with a different brand and that really sucks.

I'm on my second pillow. The first one regularly was washed every 2 to 4 weeks for 7 years a gift from an ex. This is my "boyfriend" with out arms and I sleep on my side rotating back and forth and every night since I added this pillow to my life I have slept the best and like a rock. If you have any back problems or posture and you just want the weight off your spine this pillow is huge even after washing and drying (every time!) It does suck down in the middle and sink but again it's like the best hug in the world with out arms even with the divet. Any time I travel I am so addicted to my pillow I don't sleep great I am so spoiled from this pillow. Ex boyfriends when shit got serious well the body pillow came too. If it was super serious i wouldnt hesitate to spend the extra $ to leave at their house. I have a king bed and personally want 2 but figure that really slims my chances of ever getting hitched 😂 Be very prepared it's huge and really like an extra hooman in bed 😅 super comfy for 2 people to use it playing footsie on opposite sides. Hotel and borrowed pillows don't have the same OOPH. (I did use 4 of their head pillows that were regular and king size on my bed for 4 years *often washed & dried* but when I moved I got rid of them still kept the body pillow because it had more life then the pillows) great brand. Great affordability. The firmness is amazing. But yet still soft as butter! I haven't had babies yet so I haven't used it with a belly but I recommend this pillow to all my pregnant friends (the pillow is so form fitting so it would be great on a belly since it gets it's divet . ) Pain relief ! Serious takes SOOO much weight off your spine just holding it. Straightens out the kinks.

Love the feel of the pillow and it doesn't become ultra lumpy and bunched up. I did end up washing it, then put it in the drier and ran that at least 5 times flipping it (inverting the fold) each time to try to get it dry. It still came out smelling funky. Not moldy, just.... Off (and not good). I'm hoping washing it again using scenter detergent helps because while it washed successfully and went back to a fresh poof, it's smells now. I'll update if the maker advised or it changes after a second wash.
