IT FITS MY JUKI DX7!!
This Brother ruffler fits my Juki DX7 perfectly and works like a charm. I purchased the generic brand and it was a disaster. The Brother brand is easy to put on, it snaps into place without having to unscrew anything. Do yourself a favor and get this one, and save yourself from frustration, a waste of money, and the possibility of breaking your machine. It cost more but in this case you get what you pay for.

Really Genuine
Ordered from World Weidner. They sent the pictured item (not the generic you also see around.) It even came in a package with the Brother logo (back label says "distributed by Brother".) I ordered it Weds and it arrived Sat. Free shipping via USPS.This came in the snap-on configuration, as pictured. Be sure to align the X and Y screws to move the needle hole under the needle before turning the machine on. This will be a one-time adjustment for your machine.Look around for some youtube videos on how to use a ruffler. It seems to produce a very consistent result and you have a wide range of adjustments. Also, by its nature this is a big foot and has a lot of potential side to side twisting leverage. When sewing try to avoid putting side force on the foot to prevent the needle hole from moving away from the needle area and allowing the needle to strike the foot.

Broken after only minimal use
I payed the extra money to get a genuine Brother Ruffler foot. I am so disappointed. After only a minimal amount of use it broke . The hook that grabs the bar to move the ruffler foot snapped. The hook portion is made of plastic. My husband has fixed it multiple times using super glue, but that only works for so long before it snaps again. (That is to be expected). Unfortunately the return window has just closed when it broke so I was stuck with this ridiculous price of engineering. I just purchased a ruffled foot from Singer for a third of the price. The hook is made of metal like the rest of the foot so I have higher hopes. Why on earth would Brother make something like this with a plastic part? I have been sewing for a few decades now so I am not new to this. Just disappointed at how the tools to see just keep being made with less and less quality.

Appears easier to use than the off- brand foot.
First of all, I am new to sewing, and I am trying to teach myself. I watched the Sewing Parts Online video, and that non- Brother foot looked complicated, especially with starting the fabric. This foot is so much easier. Watch the Brother video on YouTube.Practiced on a small scrap to find the desired settings, and practiced adding non-gathered layer on my second scrap1. Attach foot - yay, this is a snap on foot!2. Choose center straight stitch3. Use hand wheel to test where needle hits4. Place a card, such as an index card on the fabric and slide into. No "over under over".5. Add a piece of fabric under the foot, if you are attaching6. Start with a foot setting of six and7. Go!8. Then play with the settings, to see which ones give you the desired results for your project.

I was disappointed when it broke
The ruffler does work well. However, I was disappointed when it broke. I had used it for a few days making ruffles for dresses. I would have liked it to last longer. Bummed.

Get the real foot.
Ok, I admit it. I tried the cheap ruffler foot first. It lasted a couple of weeks and then something snapped and it stopped working. This ruffler fits so much better and makes much more even ruffles. There are more ways of adjusting the foot so as to not break needles.

Best Presser Foot EVER!!!
This was my second ruffler foot purchase. The first was a cheap knock off that kept breaking needles. This one is amazing. Truly heavy duty. The fact that you can adjust the presser foot placement is essential.Since getting it Ive ruffled over 100 yards of fabric in like hours. 3 yards takes like 5 minutes. It is amazing!
