It would have been a bonus if the wood was sealed.

You don't get the set
I thought the price was for the set in the photo as advertised but I only received the largest section at the bottom.

Lasered very well
Lasered for a wedding cake base; extremely light (unidentified) wood that did have some differential colour seasoning marks where it was stacked but it didn't impact too much aesthetically. Don't necessarily expect a fully clear surface. Tried to sand out to some benefit but couldn't get rid of it all; definitely don't use an (new) electric plane as it picks up and pulls lumps out of the end grain (more sanding...) Had to stabilise some of the bark with glue but to be expected with a natural product.Laser inscribed very well with a 5w laser as it isn't dense timber. Finished with a clear spray lacquer.Looks really good with an acrylic cake stand and some battery powered leds intertwined.

Log cake board
The log cake board is just what I wanted and really good quality! The delivery was super quick too. There was a personalised note in the parcel from the seller which was really nice would highly recommend this product. Very happy!
