I’m so glad I purchased these!
It was really hard to decide on what shelves to purchase with so many options out there but I decided on these. I am extremely happy with them. They are very sturdy and assembling them was pretty easy! You can customize how you want them on the wall as well and I’ve seen others paint theirs which is such a cool idea! My cats love these. My only complaint is they are a little slick so I may add some sort of carpet or something else with grip for them. Overall, affordable and adorable.

I don’t normally write reviews, but this was worth it!
These cat shelves were planned to be a project for me from the beginning. You’ll be putting together every shelf from its individual pieces, but the instructions are easy to understand with the pictures and they give you all the screwdrivers/allen wrenches/screws you’ll need for this part. After that, I wanted to paint them, so I sanded down the edges first. The wood is solid, good quality, not particle board. The edges weren’t dangerously rough to the point where they’ll hurt kitty paws, but definitely needed to be sanded down if they were going to be painted successfully. I used acrylic paints and then a clear coat spray afterwords. My primary complaint is that one of the shelves, the green one, was supposed to have the holes for the bridge (2 holes) & scratching pole (1 hole) reversed. Instead, they matched the holes on the blue shelf. It seems like a small issue, but it completely altered the configuration of (and then where I had to put up) the shelves, so it’s a two-tier system instead of a line-up like the instructions indicate. You WILL need a power drill to install the wall anchors & screws! If you don’t have a stud finder, I would recommend investing in one since the installation is so big that without it, you’re bound to run into places you can’t drill if you’re just guessing. (Spot the holes next to the yellow shelf? There are more in my stairwell wall because I didn’t heed my own advice!) Also, there are enough screws and anchors for the exact number of holes in the shelves, but if you mess up where an anchor goes, it can be pulled out with pliers and reused if it’s not in bad shape after that. I still had to purchase extra anchors to use for mine, but that was because of my own mistakes. Also, a tip for marking your place on the wall so you don’t have to hold up the heavier pieces while fiddling with a pencil— Use toothpaste! Dab a bit on the back of the shelves where the holes are and put them up against the wall where you want to install them. When you pull it away, the toothpaste will leave a perfect stamp showing you where to drill, and it’s easy to wipe off! (For anyone who doesn’t know this yet or hasn’t had to do this before, you drill a hole in the wall the size of your anchor, then hammer the anchor in, then install the shelf by screwing it into the anchors!)As far as the utility of the product now that the hefty installation process is done, it’s working great! It’s quite sturdy and Pooter loves it! He had to be lured up there with treats and taught how to hop up on it from the desk, but he goes up on his own now and seems to love the height and the scratching pole especially. He doesn’t use the bridges, but it’s easy for him to jump from one platform to another and I think the bridges help him feel safe enough to do that.I price compared a ton of sets like this, comparing the cost of buying individual shelves versus a full set. I really feel like I got the bang for my buck with this one, even if I accidentally made the installation process trickier than it should’ve been. Even with my minor complaints, I definitely recommend this set!

Quality and functionality
Great quality, no missing parts. It took us like 3 hrs for installation. The only thing I did not like it was the tunnel, it was very small for my cat (he is 15 pounds) so we decided not to install the tunnel roof. The nice thing is that you can design the distribution.

Sturdy
My kitten loves this wall climber. I was impressed by how sturdy it is. One of the boards was a little bowed out of the box but did not effect assembly. We used 50 lb wall sinkers instead of those provided for extra security. We also added stair treads to the flat services for grip. Overall very happy with this purchase.

Great value!
These are a great buy for the price! They're very sturdy, although I do recommend using drywall anchors with them. We have a 17 lb cat and we've had no issues with these holding his weight, even with the force from him jumping, and we've had them up for a year!My only complaint is that there is no grip. I ended up adding some adhesive carpet squares to them as the cats wouldn't use them until I did. But once I added that, the cats took right to them and are in them most of the day!

Perfect for Playful Kittens!
I bought these cat shelves for my kitten, Poppa, and they have been a huge hit! Poppa is still young and full of energy, so these shelves are the perfect outlet for his climbing and exploring instincts. The design is super engaging, with multiple platforms, a bridge, and even a cozy little hideaway for when he’s ready to rest.Despite his boundless energy, these shelves are rock-solid and handle all of his acrobatics with ease. The natural wood finish looks great in my home and blends in beautifully with the decor. Assembly was straightforward, and the layout encourages creative play for kittens like Poppa.Watching Poppa climb, jump, and lounge on these shelves has been such a joy. I know they’ll continue to grow with him as he gets bigger. Highly recommend for any cat parent looking to spoil their feline friend with an adventurous space!

Great project, but buy better wall anchors!
I decided to paint these shelves a sage green color and added some flowers to the box. It was a lengthy process but I think the outcome was great! I used acrylic paint and after about a week, I added a matte varnish to help protect the paint. In terms of building the shelves, do yourself a favor and purchase better wall anchors! The anchors that come with this are horrible and the shelves started to fall off when my kittens got on it! I would recommend something metal that you screw into the wall. These work much better and I've had no issues. Also, having someone help to hold things in place and make markings with a pencil of where the holes go is very beneficial.

Directions aren’t but do-able. Product it good
Directions aren’t so good but but do-able. The product works just fine. Lots of hardware and no missing pieces. The yellow screw ankers aren’t so good. It would be nice if washers came with this kit for hanging. I used cast aluminum ankers instead. We hung them on the wall like we wanted not like instructions showed. So far one cat loves it.Wife wanted them painted so we painted them to match the walls. I prefer otherwise.
