Great for dog balls!
We have coached baseball & softball for both our kids for years. These are the perfect practice/warm up balls. Our Australian Shepherd steals them and they are very durable. Tennis balls get destroyed by our dog but these have lasted and she doesn't tear them up!

Plastic is too hard
You get what you pay for, these practice balls are not as pliable and squishy as the more expensive training balls. The result is they will fly a bit too far and sting if someone is hit by them.

Good for hitting training
These balls are firm to the touch, but then they squish easily when impacted. This means that they offer enough resistance to be easy to throw and flight well on the way to the plate, but then most of the power of the hit goes into squishing the ball and it stays in the infield. Good for young hitters to work on picking up the ball and making good contact without having to go shag balls all over the place. These balls are also good for kids learning to catch a ball in their mitt. I can play catch with my 6 and 8 year old, and if the ball gets into their body or they are a bit too literal about keeping their eye on the ball, it won't do nearly the damage that a typical baseball would do.

Good for training
I enjoy finding innovative training methods for baseball. These balls are very interesting. They provide good feedback on hits and you can tell right off the bat. They are light and don't go as far as a baseball. I was able to put additional action on pitches to add to the variation. This is another technique to train batting. So far I am pleased. I will update if there are ball longevity issues.
